Super noob question: Conti Teams can only race C2HC and C2 races?
Not correct. You can apply for higher race categories, but you are not guaranteed to race them. Depends on the number of PCT-teams who subscribed as well, as they will have the priority.

ProContinental and Continental teams have the same goals rules to follow:
All teams must have at least 1 'Win' Goal - This means winning a classic or Stage Race outright
All teams must have at least 1 HC goal (HC for PCT, C2HC for CT)
All teams have a Team Standings Goal
No more than 1 goal per race
No more than 1 Points/KoM Goal
And please note: The stage wins goals means stage wins. Overall race victories - be it a stage race or one day race - do not count. Stages wins during PT races for PCT teams do not count either.
Probably a stupid question, but not sure I understand.
I'm a CT team and just wondering what the difference is between a "Win" goal and a HC goal?
I understand the "Win" goal, it means winning a race (for example Acropolis Cup).
But what's the HC goal, is it another "Win" goal at C2HC level (so for example, an outright win at the Giro del Trentino or stage win at Tour de Pologne?) |

The Win Goal is a win goal. So does not matter which division.
The HC goal is a C2HC race goal. It can be a win goal, but also a top5/10, points, kom or stage win.
So of your goals you need at least one C2HC race goal and at least one Win Goal.
You can obviously have more than 1 each. |

To those PCT managers who've sent me your goals so far (19/30 I believe), expect a PM tonight or tomorrow to confirm they're correct or point out any changes. Sorry for the delay but this is the first time all week I've had chance for more than a rough glance at them |

How are the different divisions doing? I seem to recall CT owning everyone in sending in last year, it's time for PT to win this year!

PT: 12/22
I think it's possible for PT to win this year.

If PCT was 19/30 last night, which was just before I sent mine in, it'll be a difficult task.

I really dont get how some take a week to do this. It took me like 5 minutes. For PT managers it cant really surprise Anyone, as it has been the same for - what? - 3 years...

Not all the PT managers for next year are PT managers for three or more seasons.
I dont wanna rush it, as i did not have the time to check 100% of profiles and i dont have a functional PT team like you do SotD. Will send it today, afternoon, i hope it is fine SN.

True, but in all honesty, the PT Goals thingy haven't changed much over the past 3 years, and since you have been promoted for a month or so, it was quite easy to prepare even without knowing the exact profiles and the exact points of goals, just by looking a bit back in time.
It's fine by me that you have not done so, but the excuse for not having been in the PT for 3 years like me (I have more btw ) is a poor one. I can't excuse myself for haven't been in the PCT either. I have all the info on the matter available IF I want to prepare, when I (hopefully don't) demote.
Anyway, for me it was merely a "rage" towards the fact that CT and PCT teams tend to be faster, while having a much more difficult job to do.

SOmething that has always confused me but I've never really bothered to ask was the Points/KOM goal. Does this mean that if you pick this goal for a race you can win EITHER the points jersey OR the KOM or do you have to specify? I had always thought that it allowed you to win either of them, but I'd never really given it much thought. Certainly the way the rules are written is ambiguous.
