I'm going to try and go for a blend of diabetic and non-diabetic riders, in the same way that Team Type 1 did before they became Novo Nordisk. Has anyone got any diabetic riders on their team out of interest?
Not yet, I think I have one on my shortlist though...
Anyway good luck with the project and welcome on board.

Team Type 1 can confirm it has signed three new riders.
First up is Chris Barton, who previously rode for In-n-Out Cycling Team Powered By Carrefour
The 26 year old time trial specialist will be play a key role in the team as a domestique, as well as aiming to gain results in TTs.
As well as Barton the team has signed two riders from Evonik - ELKO: Florian Bissinger and Phil Bauhaus. Hopefully these two riders can contribute a lot to the team, with Bissinger being a good all rounder, and so can act as a domestique or attack. Bauhaus is an up and coming sprinter.
More transfer news to come... |

Thanks sutty
Time for some...
The team's first diabetic rider is Andrea Peron!
An Italian sprinter who once won Astico-Brenta, one of the most prestigious amateur races in Italy (ahead of a certain Sonny Colbrelli). Team Novo Nordisk CEO Phil Southerland claims Peron was on the verge of signing for world pro tour team, until the team found out he was diabetic and ripped up his contract.
Hopefully Peron's sprinting ability will be a huge asset to the team, and will be the first of many diabetic riders to join the team.

Gratz. I imagine it must be a real (fun) challenge to get your desired & other diabetic riders but it's for a worthy ManGame cause.

Shonak: Its not too hard to sign them as they're all free agents and there isn't a huge amount of interest. Finding pictures of them winning is another thing altogether
the_hoyle: Thanks! |

Good to see you aiming for a diabetic core. Still have a very hard time getting used to a new guy being called Andrea Peron though. Guess it will come at some point - perhaps by getting him to ride in the mangame?

Nice to see you get some of your target riders, but not so nice to see you try to wipe over MG history with some form of alternate reality

Thanks. The guys I've signed don't really have a history in the Man-Game, but would you rather I stopped talking about these 'alternative results'? |

Yes, because those races do have a lot of Man-Game history.
Mejias incidentally was on my PT team all the way back in the first season in 2007! And here's a race where Mclay did alright, from 2013.

I think it's more naming results that exactly have a man-game result instead such as Mclay and Avenir and I bet most riders have actually got a man-game history) |

For stealing a Finnish rider...
Just kidding. Hope he will do well for you (expected your interest due to his diabetes), but I also want to make you aware that the best for his future would be getting him to ride on loan on a higher level as you can't level up a lvl. 3 down here in CT
