Nice race and a really nice report. AMEXpc did about as well as we can be expected to to. Dieter Mehr-Wenige, Marko Kump, Fabbio Taborre and Carlos Barredo were all in the 2nd group 46 seconds behind. As a team we picked up 52 points, so a solid effort.

McEvoy Turns out to do a little better than I expected, shame that the rest of the team has not been able to win a few more points

A little disappointing ending, while it was looking quite promosing. I'm surprised that Ulissi just had to let Di Maggio go, while he has decent flat and high stamina, and like you mentioned, he managed to win San Remo, which is 70 more km.
I'm seeing it happening, Abal beating Intxausti in Austria, and Ventoso ending above Ulissi a few more times, and my top 5 goal will be pretty much gone.

Yeah! I thought this could be great classic for someone of Ignatiev's qualities and it paid off in form of 3rd place in HC race. Much needed points for us and good run continues as SN says.
Congarts to Venchi and thanks Smowz for entertaining report. Who cares about HD-like pictures when you make the report special with your unique reporting style, chapeau!
One thing disappoints me though and that is Rabon coming 46th in the end, while i would expect him trying to sprint for better points next to Der and others as that is his strong side. Well, we cant have everything.

What a way for Di Maggio to bounce back after a dissapointing result in Taldykorgan GP! This was truly nervewrecking to read. Great ride by Di Maggio, just managing to hold off the closest contenders.
Thanks for the report Smowz!

I did hope for Monfort to be aggressive, but this was a bit too much. He looked strong, but he spent too much of his energy on a useless solo attack 50km out. This is probably what caused him to not be strong enough in the final.
27th and 28th for him and Weening is a terrible result.
Glad it was an exciting race though.

Great report!
So close with 2nd, our best result as a team I think. Onwards and upwards.
