No, all your points will be gone after spending those 240. Those 160 you lose by updating an older rider.

So if i spent 200*0.XX on a 20yo i'd then have 200*0.XX to spend another rider?
Or are you saying we can only spend on riders of the same age? Slightly confused

Say you want to spend 200 points on a rider and he is 20 , youll get 200 x 0,7 = So out of the 200 points , youll have 140 points to upgrade for , but you have still used 200 points

I think (hope) Danny gets it. But he still read the table wrong 
Let' say I have 200 points, I want to use them on an 18 year old and a 35 year old. On the 18 year old, I can use 100% of the points, no loss. For the 35 year old, I'll lose 50% of my points.
For the 18 year old, I can upgrade a stat from 59 to 60, I spend 60 points. That means I have 140 points left. The age reduces them for my 35 year old, 50% so I have 70 points left to spend, so I can raise a stat from 69 to 70 on my 35 year old.
I could also use the remaining 140 points on my 28 year old, that would be 60%, so I'd have 84 points to spend on that rider, so I could raise a stat from 79 to 80 (the cap) and have 4 points unspent.
I hope that's clear, cause I have no other way to explain it

Still slightly confused so i'll mae it simple, please just answer yes/no to the following example questions.
I have 400 points to spend.
I want to upgrade a 20yo from 74 to 75 so i spend 94points (75/0.8=94). Correct?
I have 306 left to spend. Correct?
I then want to upgrade a 27yo from 74 to 75 so i spend 125points (75/0.6=125). Correct?
I have 181 left to spend. Correct?

I made this season upgrade calcutation a while ago. So you guys can use it if you want to. https://www.file-u....xlsx.html
Type in Age and Gained Points and then choose the stats you want to increase.
EDIT: It's also good for planning your rider if you're new or keeping track of your riders.

Could come in handy as well! I did make some small modification to the ages comapred to the first season break, to make it more realistic, did you change those?
