[EPIC] OPQS | Goals Set | Season Planning in Progress
Paul23
Richie, you have come to us, because you wanted a whole new experience, in 3D. That means you will be riding the Vuelta. And on top of that, you will be our GT man there.

we at OPQS are looking for domestiques now. Since I am not on my PC for the next days, you could do me a favour, in contacting me, with your riders, which you want to sell. I want mostly belgian and german guys. Polish riders are welcome, as well as dutchies.
I am mostly looking for young domestiques.

Hi,
I'm Matteo La Bestia, OPQS' new signing. I'm a pure climber and during the next year I'll be the team leader in the Giro d'Italia. I'm very excited to start this adventure in the professional peloton and I hope that I can figure well in my first year. Even though many of you were sceptical about my premature leadership at the Giro, that has always been my dream and I'm sure that I will prove wrong any of you. By now I'm 22, so there is no time to wait anymore. Lastly, I'd like to thank the new team manager for giving me the biggest chance of my life and i hope I won't disappoint him.

Ciao, e auguratemi buona fortuna!

Hey Matteo,

nice that you found the way to our HQ. We hope you are pleased with our squad and your status in it.

You could tell me, which races you want to race before the Giro.

Hey it's OPQS Management again.

With Thomas De Gendt, we secured ourself another belgian. He will not be a only good support in the Mountains, but he will also help to strengthen our TT squad.

But with Vandenbergh we paid a high price for him, which weakens our cobble squad. But we at OPQS think it's still a way in the right direction. The way of ruining...oh, we mean improving our squad. Yeah...thats what we had in mind. With him, we made all our transfers and are now fully focused on the FA biddings.

Cobble dominance will be gone (that might be for Garmin now), but you got the team more Belgian and you really needed that second stageracer cause Kwiat can't do everything by himself. I'm not sure if I should say better or worse, you lost some big names obviously, but the team will be able to compete in every terrain, instead of an overload on cobblers and sprinters.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Paul23
@Ollfardh tbh, I think that no team has a cobble dominance. PCM isn't real life. In PCM you only need a cobble leader and 1 good helper. My team won't do the work at the front, but when the action starts, Boonen still has Terpstra, helping him. I think my old cobble team was partly unneeded(Look at last years results). So I tried to improve the team on the other parts where it didn't could compete at all...

I think you tried to say bEuropcar.
Who has Garmin for cobbles?

McDermott, with Nuyens and Vansummeren in support. But yeah, it won't be dominanance like last year, Europcar has a good team, Belkin could be good as well, and BMC, Sky, Omega Pharma and a few others have a decent team as well.

We at OPQS are proud to present our Roster for the 2014 Season. We got rid of almost our whole cobble department and of Mark Cavendish and we made our team more an overall condender. With Richie Porte and Matteo La Bestia, we have signed some GT riders. Otherwise did we sign some good domestiques with Bakelants and De Gendt. But last but not least, we signed some raw talent with Benoot, Vervaeke, Howson, Flakemore and Van Aert.

OPQS Season Planning in Progress

We at OPQS write the word Calendar big. Why? Because it is a noun. But also do we at OPQS think, that a good Calendar is an important part of Cycling. Because of that, we at OPQS applied for a few CT races. We, at OPQS, hope that we'll get some wildcards. We applied for only 4 Races, because we at OPQS have other plans. It's more important for us at OPQS, to have a decent summer this year. We at OPQS are actually working at our season plan. That means that we at OPQS will talk to Matteo La Bestia in the next days, because we want him to be happy, here at OPQS. That means that we at OPQS want him to ride the races he wants. If "Matt" wants to, he could write us at OPQS an E-Mail with his wishlist of races. That's it for today. We at OPQS, thank you for reading.

Leaders

Richie Porte

cdn.velonews.competitor.com/files/2013/04/Richie-Porte-659x440.jpg

Richie Porte is our biggest transfer. He came from Sky, where he had to be the domestique for Chris Froome. Richie came to us for Mark Cavendish. Mark didn't had the season, we expected him to have, and we needed a proper stage racer to tackle our aims of riding every GT with an overall contender.

Niki Terpstra

keyassets.timeincuk.net/inspirewp/live/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/04/paris-roubaix-14-terpstra-cobble-630x419.jpg

Niki was not quite happy with the Team last season. He expected more room for himself, but last year that room was given to Zdenek Stybar. We decided to give Niki another year at OPQS, because we know he can do much better, when he has some room given.

Tom Boonen

cycling-passion.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Tom-Boonen.jpg

Mr. Cocaine will officially be our main rider in the cobbled races. But he also said us, that this maybe will be his last season at OPQS. We know he can perform well on the cobbles, in the Sprint and in TTs.

Tony Martin

cdn.velonews.competitor.com/files/2014/07/SPTDW412-660x440.jpg

The Panzerwagen is back on track. Tony will ride for us another year in his famous rainbow jersey. He will tackle the Tour this year, but he will also be ready for some smaller races and loads and loads of TTs.

Michal Kwiatkowski

cdn.velonews.competitor.com/files/2014/03/SPTDW901-659x440.jpg

Michal Kwiatkowski. Our future star. He already is quite a star, but we think he will improve. He will tackle the Tour this year with Tony and with the cobbled stage 5, it will be very interesting, if he maybe could pull a bit time out of his opponents. We expect a Top 5 from him. And also he is maybe our ticket for Strade Bianche.

Jan Bakelants

news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/68467000/jpg/_68467618_68467607.jpg

Jan will be our main domestique for Michal in the ardennes, but he will be allowed to ride some smaller races as a leader. He came from Trek for Gianluca Brambilla.

Thomas De Gendt

i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02231/Thomas-de_Gendt_2231245b.jpg

Thomas is an interesting pick. He will strengthen our TTT squad for sure, but can he deliver in the Mountains, too? He is quite a fighter and I hope that we will see him in some breakaways. Also he will ride 1 or 2 GTs this year as a super domestique.
