What the.... better take care of your positioning, Gossy. At least a strong finish, but that makes it even more disappointing. Missed chance, now wake up to score seconds!

Yay, my best rider being 110th, that's a great start of the race for Siam Cement. |

YESSS! Vanderbiest in 2nd is a great result and at least moves him off the S.t. and should mean hopefully a top 10 at least now for consistency in the next few stages and he has a real chance. |

This might be a little to early, but i suspect Gatto won't do anything in the sprints here either. Hopefully we can get some breakaway results, and maybe Gatto can get his act together on the fifth stage which would suit him better. Other than that, this race will be extremly boring.

I like seeing Anthony Lavoine up this high... I dislike the fact that Ciolek is severely underperforming, just like my sprinters. It would be nice if those spending shitloads of money on sprinters were also rewarded.

Well he was by far the only logical training eligible rider this season (Bontenackels Giaux Delage Voss being the only others), but yeah I could've outright bought a low-wage leader on other terrain for that money.

So close to a win, Cav fading towards the line again. Congratz to Vantomme and his team on the win.
Great reporting, very tense to read at the end!

Well now that you mention it, your 7 riders finished in the bottom twenty!

Thanks. If there are more sprint finishes here expect more of the same. Will be interesting to see if Lo Cicero and Ciolek etc. can motivate their trains to do something on stage 2.
There is more drama in the pro-conti sprinter ranks than there is with a load of divas with handbags! |

Probably a bad daily form and a sprinter immediately has no chance in the end.
Bad form shouldn't intrinsically lead to horrible positioning though.
I've seen Schachmann leading a sprint train decently into the last 5k in Juarez. A 64 flat rider working in the chase all day.
If a 64 flat rider can do a sufficient job in the wind, a 75 flat rider can do a sufficient job to position himself even on a -5 day.
This is not a human player on extreme, this is the AI.
In 13, you are done with bad daily form, no matter who you are.
This is probably complete waste of race days for us, i expected weaker startlist because of 6 race days "cost", but hey, every star sprinter is here. Hoffman 29th in first stage, not worth a comment.
Nice report Rider and congrats to Alakagom!
Metinvest will most likely slip to 3rd from bottom after this race...

PCM, I hate you... The sprint AI should be smart enough to see we have to guys who are pretty fast, so they should both sprint, or Ulanowski should help Greipel. Just sitting in the middle of the pack makes no sense for Maciej here...
At least Wohler did well to go in the break again, cool attacking rider

Not the best start, but not too bad either. I'll be happy with more consistent top 5s and a potential win. That will be awesome.

WOW what a stage Roth did brilliant holding on like that sets him up in the GC all he needs is to stay in the pack and Vanderbiest taking the lead after another consistent sprint is top notch loving this race at the moment |

Meh, not too impressed by Gossy so far. Another 5th, come on, get bonus seconds soon! About 2mio spent for your transfer, time to deliver!

Nice report, but Hoffman 20th is another disapointment, he was getting much better results in Giro than in PCT flat race with so many sprinters. He is not on single sprint picture, probably does not bother to race for the win.
This will be one of the worst races for Metinvest this year, year full of bad races.

Haven't really seen him yet, but he should get enough chances next month
