Stage one was no surprise for AMEX, with no sprinters on the squad we just sat back and enjoyed the ride. Hopefully we will engage when things starts uphill.

Yes!
Finally a stage win after being so close throughout most of the season so far! Thankfully there aren't too many strong sprinters here, and getting lots of points for the Asian rankings will be important now.

Great result for Davis, to overcome the best expectations. Now we will see how it will behave McEvoy.

Not a bad start from metinvest, with Tanovitchii agressive as always and Vasylyuk with strong sprint to get 4th place in the finish.
Nice report mate!

Good to be on the road again. I don't expect big things from my team here, but we should be able to grab some points with Weening and maybe Steegmans.

Ahhh yess, the perfect PCM logic. Got 5 guys in the Top 20. But why the hell we would chase down a break with 4 of them and try to go for stage win.. meh.. just sprint for minor places..
Nice report, well done to Magnar. Looking forward to the next stages.

PCM pls.... Oh well, Becerra won't probably do nothign... Maybe at least Cabrera might hang in the hills and then get bonus seconds to finish in a good GC place. |

Why not chase? Mandri 9th and Sonnery 16th is nice but Gautier could have won that judging by the finish picture.
Anyway, things can only improve. |

Fabio Taborre Slips away near the finish and holds on for the stage victory.
Wow! that was unexpected.
The real story is that the stage did not decide anything. All of te races contenders are still easily within striking distance.
Maybe there can be a life after the cobble season. Ultimately it will up to Dietmer Mehr-Wenige to lead this team. His hard work in the off season will be tested.
Well Done Fabio now go get a rub down, your back to being a protector tomorrow.

Wow what was that? Only Meiji chased. I see how it is here, we can no longer trust any of the other managers here.
Nice report once again! I think not having the leaders jersey might be a good thing for Efimkin's chances, so its not a huge loss to be out of the yellow.

Glad you like the reports.
The funny thing about stage 2 is that Taborre pulled the exact same stunt the first tiem I raced it. Then with almost two minutes gap though so teh AI was much better this time around
@Sutty: I only just realized you have 2 Van der Ploegs in teh race. Next time i'll make sure to note which one is moving...
Edit: To clarify the first time i raced the stage was with the old cobbled route, where I had already progressed to far into the race before realizing the mistake to reuse the already raced (identical) stages. No funnybusiness, just found it interesting that the same thing happened on teh stage twice resulting in everyone being very surprised.

Strange PCM logic strikes again. Rabon is one of the better sprinters from punchers field and he sits there on 40th place, perfect.
Anyway. thanks for the report!

Stage 3 is a solid effort for AMEX as Taborre releases the yellow but his six teammates are all just 39 seconds off the lead. That is a good spot for a team that has little chance to podium but hopes to 2 or 3 in the points.
