Le Tour de France 2014 - Stage 10 - Mulhouse - La Planche des Belles Filles

Only problem is that Contador is a beast on 15%+ ascents and if he dares to attack thedifference will be more than 30 seconds + you overrate Nibali's downhill. I expect Valverde to lose time because he sucks at steeper ascents.

But I doubt he will do it. Even if he does manage to crack Nibali, then the Italian will come back on the descent, and then Contador needs to go full throttle again.

Don´t forget: Contador is a great descender as well.

good, even very good, but not great. more than enough to drop froome downhill, but i doubt he's as good as nibbles.

In a good weather, Nibali is not so much better than Contador on going down, not that much to put 30+ seconds on him on short descend.

I think Saxo will rock it earlier than last climb.
I'll be back

Bernabino on Tour live on Eurosport right now. Flecha is very good at making interviews, hidden gem in journalism Grin

Good: Yes. Great: No

Nibali is Great. Samuel Sanchez is Great. Peter Sagan is Great. Savoldelli was Great. Contador can't follow any of these if his life depended on it.

I like Flecha too, Bernabino and LeMond not so much. I wish it was Flecha on Tour. Cool

Are you serious?Valverde sucks on steep climbs? He won La Fleche Wallonne this year and he sucks?

weatherman on tv says shifting rain and sun is likely for todays stage, but less rain later in the day.

These climbs are too long for Valverde to really shine. And he didn't shine on stage 8 which should have been absolutely perfect for him. If he wins today I will be very surprised. If he finishes with either Contador or Nibali I will be very surprised. He should probably be happy to stay with Porte, and the riders chasing his position in the GC. 4th or 5th seems like the realistic top target for him this year, unfortunately. I hoped he would be better, but he really doesn't seem very well shaped. He have been in shape all year, thats probably the main reason, btw.

Dont forget that Piti is 3rd week maestro. I also cant see him battling for the win in Paris, but that 3rd place can be within his range...

The weather is absolutely awful, i wish ITV 4 would go to phil and paul as we can hear rain when Boardman is speaking.

Seriously don't wish for that. Studio over Phil and Paul even if there was a hurricane in the background Grin

This is definitely a troll though.

anyone else really torn between wishing dry descents for the riders safety, and wanting to see nibbles attack on a wet descend?

atlanta
huh? Yeah and call me that when he doesnot win La Veulta because a rider of his ability should not be chasing Polka dots. At least he is bringing value to it but he should not have rode the TDF. Your a fucking idiot calling me a troll for pointing out the obvious.

Tour De France 2011 Stage 16 Contador descended better than S.Sanchez.But Evans descended better than both.
Tour De France 2011 Stage 17 Contador attacked in the descent with S.Sanchez.
And I haven't got any offense to you. Smile
