Cycling currently has a rich vein of young talent - from your own experience what's the biggest obstacle they have to overcome to realise their potential?

How much research do you do into the last kilometre of a stage that you expect to part of the sprint?
Sprint train tactics seem to change from stage to stage - do you play a key role in deciding tactics or is this more a decision from the team car?

Would you trade your Milan - San Remo victory for a Tour de France stage win? |

Do you still have contact with your early team mates. (Team Wiesenhof, AKUD Rose etc.)
Was the U23 World win too much pressure in the following years? |

Asking if Ciolek has ever played with himself? Nice.
Do you feel you've made any mistakes in your career? If so, what were they?
Also, why do kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Until you signed there in 2013, a lot of people had not heard about MTN yet. Did you ever feel it would be a 1 man team and how far do you think the project can get in the future?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Do you prefer being the leader of a pro conti team or a protected world tour rider?
How easy is it for you to work with the African riders on MTN who have almost no experience of riding in a European peloton?

Which races are you taking part on the second half of the season? With the wildcard for Vuelta a España, will it be the big goal of the season for you? When will you make your debut on african races?
Regarding PCM, are Daily db top 5 world sprinters stats correct in your opinion? |

1. Do you think you would have won MSR when it wasn't shortened?
2. What do you think about the interest in cycling in Germany?
3. Cycling is often connected to doping. Can you still admire convicted dopers of the past?
4. If you can chose one former team mate to join your team, who would it be? Why?
5. (On your homepage you write that) You love to travel the world. What was the most exotic place you have been?

At what age did you first shave your legs? Have you ever tried waxing?
Shimano, Campagnolo or Sram (if allowed to answer)?
What's your favourite sport off the bike?
Did you also ride the U23 national championships in 2005? Do you think that your career would have gone a different way without the NC-title of 2005?

You got very brilliant results in sprints at a very young age. Since then you seem to have drifted away from your specialization in that specific area, despite some brilliant results at times.
Was it your own will, a management decision, or imposed by the evolution of your own physical abilities through years, that made you focus on something else than being a pure sprinter ? |

1. What are your thoughts on cycling's status in Germany nowadays? (i.e. ARD and ZDF rejecting to broadcast Le Tour and no German team being in the World Tour)
2. Do you believe that MTN will get a World Tour license within a few years?
