Orica - GreenEDGE is the first Australian cycling team to earn World Tour status and its model will change the sport of cycling forever with an influence and contribution that extends well beyond professional cycling. After hugely successful first years of competition in the highest level of the sport, we are ready to make it even better in this season, with me as the main character.
Here are the main characters for this season, Of course they isn't the only one who is gonna be leaders and win stages, but they will have that extra to go for the win, in the final moments of the race.
Bradley Wiggins
What can I say, about myself? I am the new person on the team and I am looking forward to learn the other riders at the team to know. There is a proverb that says: “You know what you have, but you do not know what you can get.”
My biggest goals this season is: Tour de France, Paris - Roubaix, Tour of California and my home country’s biggest race Tour of Britain.

| 77 | 78 | 75 | 81 | 79 | 77 | 60 | 64 | 62 | 65 | 75 | 73 | 76 | 79 | |
Simon Gerrans
Simon is one of the person on the team I like the most; he is a very nice teammate and friend. He is always smiling and have both international and British humor. I like that. We have already come on well with each other, and will do so in the future.
Simon's biggest goals this season is: Tour Down Under, Milano San Remo, the Ardennes classics and in the end of the season the World Championships.
Stats: | FLA | MOU | HIL | ITT | PRL | COB | SPR | ACC | DWH | FTR | STA | RES | RER | AVR

| 73 | 67 | 82 | 70 | 73 | 56 | 72 | 75 | 75 | 76 | 78 | 72 | 71 | 77 | |
Michael Matthews
Normally you would not associate a type like Michael with cycling. He most of all looks like, a rock star, with piercings, earrings, etc. However, he is a very nice person, who is always motivating his teammates. He is very good on the small climbs and hills, and has a good finish.
Matthews’s biggest goals this season is: Tour Down Under, Milano –San Remo, Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vattenfall Cyclassics.
Stats: | FLA | MOU | HIL | ITT | PRL | COB | SPR | ACC | DWH | FTR | STA | RES | RER | AVR

| 75 | 64 | 73 | 69 | 73 | 61 | 77 | 77 | 76 | 66 | 73 | 70 | 76 | 76 | |
Matthew Goss
Goss is our second sprinter, he is going to be the sprint captain together with Michael Matthews. In 2011, he won Milano - San Remo, he has also won two stages in the Giro d'Italia, so he is good in the long Grand Tours.
Goss's biggest goals this season is: Tirreno – Adriatico, Settimana Coppi e Bartali, Tour de France and Vuelta a España.
Stats: | FLA | MOU | HIL | ITT | PRL | COB | SPR | ACC | DWH | FTR | STA | RES | RER | AVR

| 76 | 62 | 69 | 65 | 66 | 67 | 77 | 77 | 75 | 67 | 76 | 70 | 76 | 76 | |
Michael Albasini
Michael Albasini, or as we call him on GreenEdge, Alba is one of the best puncheurs in the peloton. He has that special something when it comes to getting into the right breakaway, and when he do it, he almost every time comes first on the line.
Albasini's biggest goals this season is: Tirreno – Adriatico, the Ardennes classics, Tour de Suisse and the World Championships.
Stats: | FLA | MOU | HIL | ITT | PRL | COB | SPR | ACC | DWH | FTR | STA | RES | RER | AVR

| 73 | 70 | 77 | 70 | 70 | 64 | 71 | 75 | 64 | 77 | 75 | 72 | 71 | 75 | |
Daryl Impey
Daryl Impey, the first ever African to wear the yellow jersey at the Tour de France, so he had already written him into the history books, but I’m sure it isn't the last time he does that! He is a great lead-out man, and is still a big talent!
Daryl's biggest goals this season is: Tirreno – Adriatico, Giro d’Italia, Vattenfall Cyclassics, GP Quest France – Plouay and Il Lombardia.

Liking this sorta RL approach, since he's said to join OGE apparently. Hope Wiggo will be happy at OGE. But, 78 at COB is... wow, a lot, and way too much?!

Not sure what you mean with that.
But thanks, and 78 was a typing mistake! Should have been 77.
Still much, but if you look at Paris - Roubaix this year i think its appropriate.
Wiggo and Simon Gerrans!

I was sitting in the living room and watched TV, along with my two children Isabella and Ben, our house lays just outside of Eccleston, when it suddenly rang. I went out and opened the door and out front was a man from UPS. He held a big package where you could see the well-known "Orica - Green Edge" logo on the side of the box. I signed that I had received the package and took it inside. Ben and Isabella immediately came quick and would look over my shoulder when I opened the package.
The box cover was quickly removed, and the first thing to appear were two envelopes. A brown and a white. On both were written "Sir Bradley Wiggins' with a very nice handwritting. On the white where also written: "Copy of Contract", and on the brown there were written: "Official Welcome". I put both of them on the table beside the box and was looking forward more rapidly. The next thing to appear was three sets of cycling clothes, which was neatly put together. You could hardly take them up and destroy the neat aggregation. But I took them up anyway. There was also a single skinsuit in the box. A little box with the heading "Bollé" appeared, I opened it and found two pair of cycling glasses in it. A pair of Bollé Vortex in green and yellow, and a pair of Bollé 6th sense in white and green. The Bolle 6th sense glasses caught me completely obvious most of the two, and I was a little afraid of Vortex glasses would stay at home and collect dust.
I went further down through the box and there was another a box appeared, it was something I liked! A box with two of the best wines from Mitchelton Wines. The wine package was a small note that read: "Do not drink before the race!" I laughed a little, but I had been in the sport for many years to know that alcohol and cycling is not the best mix. Additionally, there were some other bits and pieces from the smaller sponsors, and a little note at the end that read: bike comes tomorrow.
After having been through it all, I looked up and saw Ben and Isabella, who were very curious about the many exciting things. At that moment it hit me that this was one of the best decisions I had made in my life. Although Sky was a British team and I felt at home there, it had never really worked out there. You probably are wondering what does he mean by that, I did win the Tour de France with Sky. But things were planned at Sky, I better like this way GreenEDGE is riding. They take the chance when it arises instead of having planned it a year before it actually happens.
