I know, it's just isn't the big deal. Messed it up with ToSA and MG.

Van Garderen would pwn Wiggins in this race. This year there's no big name to defend GC. I'd say that Machado is the biggest favourite this year. Machado ffs. The rest of the "GC-riders" consists of Wiggins who's not more than a shadow of his 2012 performences, some young guys with very few experience in leading a .HC week long stage race and some domestiques who may be leader for once. At first I thought that Wiggins wouldn't make top 3, but now I've seen the rest of the field I think it's possible. |

If in shape i would give Acevedo a very good shot at winning this, think he can gain enough time on the good TTers in the 2 mountain stages. |

In Trentino Wiggins on the last stage matched Machado already, he's going be even better now.. Wiggins is the favorite for this. No question. He also hyped this as his big goal along Roubaix and Tour.

Yeah, and I think that's a real shame. Dombo and Boswell can't even get free reign in the American races anymore. it's so sad as a fan.

Well, read this article, can't blame Sky for this.

I blame Dombrowski and Boswell themselves for going to Sky.

Well its likely at least one of them will probably make a move this year, possibly to Garmin so that should be good news for you.
This is reinforced by rumours that Sky made Aru an offer he couldn't refuse, it's a rumour though, but I see it happening for sure.

I disagree. Wiggins at his peak is a better rider. The one advantage TVG has is that he's younger and still improving.
I was talking about in 2013 anyway. Van Garderen has only started climbing really well this season imo, while Wiggins is definitely still a bigger name in the world of cycling, outside of the USA. We've never truly seen a top GC rider here competing and dominating, and I think TVG avoiding the race this year helps prove my point. Its a race where either top riders build form or lesser riders in good form battle it out.
We are missing the Schleck bro's here this year, but apart from them, the start field really isn't lacking in stars compared to other years. They never rode well in California anyway, and the race still brings strong depth in riders mostly from America.

Or they could go to BMC who have more money....

Will say wow to the sprint field in this years edition. Something that aside from Sagan has never really been very good. The GC field is probably about normal. The GC has never really been great, normally two very good riders and then a bunch of kids with something to prove. Though is the first time a past TdF winner is racing the AToC?

Armstrong? Andy Schleck? If you count those.

Going to be hoping for a Yates victory, looking forward to the race again. I think Wiggins has a good chance, he showed form in Trentino but if there are attacks he will be struggle to follow. Hope Craddock can do well too but will probably DNF like people have said. Sprinters field is strong and will be exciting, I haven't seen Sagan match up with Cav lately. |

Wouldn't it be great if every race had a tour tracker...minus Phil and Paul obviously. |

...Armstrong I can buy off on, at least at the time he raced he was a past TdF winner. Andy... that isn't even the same rider that won (got 2nd) his TdF, wasn't ever in contention for the GC.
