Visconti did not bad, but with Bobridge failing hard in Gisborne, this was a disappointing double-header for Oz I knew my Dwaars-luck wouldn't last too long

I thought the nationality bonus might have been enough for Ulissi here, but unfortunately not. Van Stayen just to strong.
Mancuso did very well though with finishing 10th.
Overall decent result.

Thought I'd mention that Venchi in this double header amassed over 75pprd
The way they are going, highest overall total of points in PCT will be on horizon.

One thing is Van Stayen winning a sprint in a reduced peleton, but doing it solo? That is just way more than I had ever expected!
With Di Maggio also scoring well and Van Stayen achieving our first goal of the season, this race could almost not have been any better!
Thanks for the report(s), Roturn!

I hoped for more than an 8th but it's still inside of our expectations.
Congratulations Sykkel for the win. Van Stayen is pretty awesome this season.
Thanks Roturn for the report!

Now this was pretty lame. Ignatiev tearing it apart like three times at least and in the end completely empty to fall down throught the ranks to 14th place, he should save a bit more energy. But to fight for the win hard and loud is good and 14th in HC race is not so bad for one of his two one day classics in 2014 (bar TT classics). Shame that move with Baugnies did not stick up.
Nice report and congrats to Venchi, can we ban Van Beasten already please??

Not happy.
23 points is not enough for a .HC race with a clash, although the decent depth with Bol and Delage surprisingly scoring as well slightly makes up for Kelderman not really performing on that last climb.
Yes, the unpredictability of this race was clear to me, and we did decently considering that, but when guys like Mancuso Top10 this...oh well.
Congrats Venchi once more, I'm still not sure whether looking forward to Demare outweighs fearing Van Stayen...especially as he was so close to be mine

Pretty good result here for me, Acevedo getting 6th is definitely overachieving. He is good in these types of races where a lot of people attack, but only a few get away as he can often get a good result in the sprint finish.

Pretty dissapointed but had no real expectations a good ride from Duchesne though in the break and still attacking at the end of the race. |
