All I'd like is a top 30 for Drujon aka 5 points.
No more ambitions for us beyond that.
Let the season begin!

We send all of our sprinters and don´t even get mention in the preview, I´m quite sure sprint classics ain´t where we will get our points this season
But let the real fun begin |

Might be able to sneak inside the top 10 with the right position. I feel like Nepo could be a more reliable source of points than Mezgec in these pan flat races, so I'd like to see him go well.
Lo Cicero for the win

Finally the action is about to begin...
I'm waiting for a good result in this first race of the year .. And what is a good result?? With this startlist a top10 will be a good result. I do not believe in the success of the Meji double so my pick for the win is Ciolek

In this version of PCM 4 sprint trains can be formed, so it could be a great battle near the end in the sprint classics. My pick here is Holloway. |

Well, it's a taylor-made race for Maksimov. We have a top 5 goal here and we won't be content with anything less. But that start list. Holy shit

This race is made for Maksimov...
Now let's grab the popcorn and watch him self-destruct.

Wow, already getting hate You know what they say. You have to be good to have haters
I honestly think the worst it could mess up for us, is Lo Cicero doesn't get a lead out from Nappo and he does his own thing. Certainly makes it a good chance for both to get a good result, so I am not too worried.

Sprinter-fest squared! Going to be an awesome last 10 km, hopefully the reporting will do it justice (sure it will!).
Query for the more experienced MG/PCMers out there - is the order that the teams are listed in the start-list random, or a reflection of the AI's interpretation of the merits of the various team leaders? I've seen lots of previous discussion of the significance or otherwise of the in-team numbers of X1, versus XX, but not whether the order of the teams listed has any meaning. Insight appreciated!
Its not random. I think it must be ranked by pcm's rating of each team leader, because I'd think if it was ranked on overall team rating my team would be first or possibly the flat stat is what is used not the sprint stat in determining the strongest overall team.

Yeah, it's roughly based on the leader's strenght, though sometimes with a strange focus on secondary stats or whatever makes Holloway rated that high for example.
And it doesn't completely distinguish between leader types in stage races, so you can see Kittel with the #21 in the TdF.

So excited that things will start. I hope Lavoine can dodge crashes and sneak a good result. But these races most likely will be pretty random all season so I'm not too concerned.

The main point is that the X1 rider on that list is not necesarily going to be treated as team leader by the AI. Always irritates me when people moan that their intended leader is not down as X1 - the numbers themselves don't have any influence on what the AI actually does.

Getting on the right sprint train will be key, though lordknows what sprint train will be the right one.
Lo Cicero is my prediction, though goss I think will do well.

Well, that was interesting. Nice to see Sam Bennett finishing top ten, though i'm quite surprised by the winner. Was this just an exception, or will things not come quite as easy as thought for Napo and Lo Cicero?

Yeah we got the BOTD, thank you Losch. And even though i have zero expectations, Chicchi 136th is just ridiculous.
Great battle for the win and some surprising positions. Karcher really shocking some there but any win in this field is deserved

What a strange sprint! I can't complain about third place at all seeing how others being way better positioned faded hard in the end.
Goal 1: accomplished
AMEX will certainly hunt Kupfernagel down now after disappointing the whole last season
I'm deeply disappointed we didn't make any effort to get points apart from Ciolek though (not expecting a train, that didn't seem the best way to go today anyway), Giaux in 88th as second best rider is nothing short of laughable...

Now that's slightly disappointing. Nice work by our team, but Gossy obviously went too early. Ain't a disaster, though being beaten by Kupfer and Maksimov feels wrong
Nice report! Now for some better results
