Great way to start the season! I'm putting my money on Trofimov. Second Bakelants, then EBH.

Hmm, can only hope for a surprising result with Sagan probably. It should be a nice start for the season though!

Ohhh here we go! Really great preview there admir. Last year I sent Nibali here, which was a mistake, so I'd expect Schumacher to do quite a bit better.

A bit of a shame not to see Gilbert mentioned at all in the preview
Nice job admir, thanks, hope we can start with some points on the board.

Great preview...
In this race support my fellow countrymen of Prio-Porto, Rui Costa could end up surprising and get a good result in this race

Pretty interesting to see Pluchkin, Tenorio and Alarcon all on the startlist actually. Could be a gamble that does not really work for those 3 teams.
It's not a case of me wasting Pluchkin's race days like last year letting him race the Ardennes convinced he could do something. He simply has to be here for the rest of his calendar to fit and for him to max out his race points.
Looking forward to it, Kwiatkowski might also be able to do something.
Pick for the win? I'll go with Hagen.

Bloody hell, that's a good startlist.
It'll be nice to see Bakelants in Bouygues colours for the first time

It'll be amazing to see the season start. I just hope Boasson Hagen will be around, hopefully fighting for the win. With both Antón and Levarlet racing, his support should be good enough. And thanks for a well written preview! |

That is a nice preview admir! I'm curious to see what your first report will be like..
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Great preview.
Modest hopes for SRB here, hope we get one of our better hilly guys in the breakaway, then you never know. Our results were up bad dish in these sorts of races last year, I tend to find it is about positioning behind the big favourites for the minor placings.
Alarcon had three targeted races and one classic with two race data left. It was this or Lombardy.

Start of the season is always the most interesting race, firstly for the hiatus of racing, but also for the added panic of being placed for the first time in a ranked order.
Last season Wiggle started off super strong with a great performance here and in Qatar. With a bit of luck, I'll start the same way under the Good Energy banner. Luck being the word I'll be using a lot this season.

Great win for Frank, though very disappointing from EBH. I like the team photo

Hmm, that was a really nice report, admir!
I have to say I don't really like that PCM13 AI, when peloton just gives up to do anything. 27th place is not-really-a-great-start, but it could be even worse.
Congrats to Vesuvio!

Not bad. Pity I couldn't get on the podium again, but great work by Caruso to take 4th. Ponzi in 11th caps off a good start for the team. I think my depth this season could actually pay dividends for once if more than one rider attacks in each race!
Great report! Loved the team photo

Great report, and the season has just started!
One small tip tho, try to avoid using the E1 and E2 group thing, might be nothing, but makes it hard for me to read.
EDIT: And Prevar...

9th and 23rd is pretty good. When seeing a group of 8-9 men infront with Ricco there I kinda hoped for a top 5, but before the race top 10 was the goal, and that was reached. Demare in the attack all day, and finishing 23rd is also pretty good. Every rider from 30th and down seems to be in complete random order, and not in any specifik strength order, which is a bit of a bummer imo.

Well, the PCM13 AI sucks, as when most of the favourites from basically all teams attacks, peloton stops working. The tempo of it decreases abnormally and they just ride the rest of the race as it's training camp. It knows to be really frustrating, but nothing can be really done against it.
Thanks everyone, btw!
