Manager baseballlover312 and Commissioner SportingNonsense have confirmed that continental team Carlsberg - Danske Bank will be riding Bands #1, #2, and #4 of the C2HC calendar for the 2014 season.
Baseballlover 312 said this about the selection:
"We were very happy to hear that our top choices were all selected for the C2HC category bands in our inaugural year. I a confident these bands offer the best possible situations for our team to excel in.
Band #4 was the first choice because of our goal for a top 5 at the Benelux classic. The field is large, but I'm still confident that we can do well , especially in breakaways.
Band #1 was out next choice. As manager I feel this band is great for what our team will be. There are cobblestones, which we will hopefully be strong in, as well as good stages for breakaways.
Band #2 was our last choice, and we just made it in. With the competition, it might be hard to do anything, but the stages our good for breakaways, unlike Band #3, which contains mostly flat or mountain stages. I like our abilities and chances."
The transfer season is coming up, and it won't be long before the roster for this season is built and finished.

As the 4th day of transfers begins, 1st day transfers have been coming in, and with it Team Carlsberg - Danske bank has begun forming its team.
Of the 8 riders in talks with the team on the first evening of the transfer season, 4 ended up signing their contract the minute they could! Here they are, the first riders of the team!
Nation
Name
Wage
Christian Ranneries
50,000
Jimmi Sørensen
50,000
Matthias Wengelin
50,000
Martin Schoffmann
65,000
John Kronborg Ebsen
50,000
Baseballlover312 said this in his statement:
"It is wonderful to see us land some riders right off the bat.
In Ranneries we get a quality sprinter from our sponsor region thattakes almost no time to get up to speed: a valuable asset any team.
In Sørensen we get a real fighting spirit, who will strike out on any day for any stage win, a quality that encompasses the team's message and goals.
In Wengelin we get another aggressive rider, with a keenness for descending and making things happen.
In Schoffmann we get a good climber who I am extremely trusting in from my days as manager of semi pro team "Miche," a team which I have many memories of being carried by him.
In Ebsen we get another quality Danish climber with good stamina.
We have also come to potential deals in several other free agent negotiations as well as a transfer agreement, but they cannot yet be confirmed. Updates will come as they are.
Overall, I like our progress, and hope in the coming days our hopes pan out and we have the outstanding squad we hope will unfold for 2014!"
As the transfer season moves fulls team ahead, every team is trying to round up their squad without overdoing the cap or missing out on key transfer targets. Mistakes have been made by everyone, especially continental teams like Carlsberg, who have to build their entire team from the ground up. everyone's future will become clearer as the transfer period continues.

Throughout the transfers, we have had one major target throughout the period, Niki Østergaard. His skill embodied what we want as a leader on our team through our terrain and regional focuses.
When we signed a deal on the 2nd morning of transfers for 80,000. he was ready to take it. it just had to be cleared.
However, at the last moment the negotiations fell through due to a new highest bidder at the 11th hour..
We will continue to pursue Niki as the transfer period moves forward, but there is no doubt been a blow to the transfers of Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank, but we will obviously fight through it and continue to build a great team.

Today, another day's worth of transfers came in for Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank. They picked up another 3 riders from free agency, as well as completed a deal with one of the top Scandinavian teams in the league.
The following riders were picked up in free agency.

Niko Aistrup
50,000
75,000 (Transfer Fee)
Baseballlover312 said this in his statement:
"Another greatday for transfers of Carlsberg after the Ostergaard incident. We landed several more riders, adding our total up to 9 thus far.
In Kaus, we get another Danish fighter who is also fdecent in the cobblestones. He has always lacked proper training, but we can fix that!
In Van Leijen we get yet another great attacker who holds potential in both time trialing and cobbling as well.
In Stevenson we get another cobblestone domestique who also brings an element of leadership to an otherwise young team.
In Aistrup we get an experienced and hard working super domestique who will be great for our leadout train.
Overall, I like where we've gone. but our transfer season is far from over."
As the team manager says, the transfer season is just beginnning, and many deals are on the table for Team Carlsberg - Danske Banke. Only time will tell which hit the surface.

Good luck with van Leijen. He was great for me 2 seasons ago, with lots of aggressive riding. Didn't get to use him as much last season, but he's a solid addition for any race. He will mix things up
As the transfer season goes on, Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank comes closer and closer to their final squad. With the Day 3 free agents now signed, the team now has the majority of their riders signed and ready to ride for the 2014 season.
The following riders were signed by the team in free agency.
Fabio Sabatini
95,000
Lasse Bøchman
80,000
Marc Christian Garby
95,000
Martin Mortnesen
50,000
Meanwhile, Sebastien Rosseler was signed in a transfer deal with Project 1t4i.
Sebastien Rosseler
50,000
50,000 (Transfer Fee)
Baseballlover312 said this in his statement:
I love how fast everything is going here. Mid sentence I took about a 15 minute escapade to kill a fly that you will never know about, but other than that, transfers have been great. We secured 5 riders today.'
In Sabatini we get a sprinter who has tons of heart and motivation, which I witnessed firsthand at Miche. With Schoffmann that could be a very good second unit for leaders at stage races.
In Bøchman we get rider who excels in everything. In our team, he will slot in as our best puncheur and time trialist, two fields we desperately need work in.
In Garby we get a young Danish climber with plenty of room to improve. Perhaps a Pro Tour loan would help this cause. ;)
In Mortensen we get another quality cobbles rider with good skills all around and great secondary abilities that will help our team in many campaigns.
In Rosseler we get a rider who is looking to make a new start to finish his career at the CT level after realizing his declining form. Another great rider in this division all around, for time trials , some cobbles, and an aggressive racing style.
Great day this was. Tomorrow will hopefully be even better if the cards are played right.
And it shall. Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank has a lot at stake tomorrow. But with 14 riders already confirmed, they can start to relax a bit.

Niki Østergaard Signs With Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank
I breaking news, Niki Østergaard signs with Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank for $100,000 salary.
Baseballlover312 released this statement:
Sorry, can't talk now Too busy celebrating! I'll say something tonight!
This huge signing is great for the outlook of Carlsberg. Niki was their biggest transfer target, and having him as their leader certainly lifts the morale of the team.
At 26, he is still young and brings exactly what they want to the team as their absolute cobblestone leader as well as an aggressive and fighting style.

Only 2 riders were confirmed, but they sure were biggies. Both free agents.
Niki Østergaard
100000
Asbjørn Kragh Andersen
80000
Here's baseballover312's statement:
Oh what a wonderful day it is.
In Østergaard we get our absolute leader. His cobblestone abilities are quite honestly amazing for the division and to have such a talent from the team's native area is amazing. With other teams lacking in the their classics rider, Niki hopes to sweep the floor with them!
In Kragh Andersen we get a very young cyclist with little experience but a huge amount of potential. And with a few members his discipline of sprinting on their way out, he is on his way in. maybe not this year, but down the line for sure.
We would also like to announce that we have loaned Garby to Team B&O for the season. He had a great opportunity to race in the Pro Tour this year where he can gain experience to greaten his skills next year for us! We will be paying half of his wage and wish him luck with the top Dnaish team. See you next year!
That brings our rider count to 15, not counting Garby, but we still have 3 deals on the table with riders before we can close out our transfer season. Tomorrow's another day.
Another day it is, with a big talent on the table for the team to snag up, Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank has already met the minimum required riders and gotten their main target. The only thing left to do is polish the team and plan for the upcoming 2014 season.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
I'll pay attention to what you might achieve in the cobble races! Looking strong!

Over the past few days 3 riders were signed to finalize the team for 2014.
Alex Rasmussen
105000
Jesper Hansen
65000
Guytan Lilholt
60000
Here's baseballlover312's statement:
So Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank's roster has been confirmed for this coming season with 18 riders. In the last days of the transfer seaoson we signed 3 riders.
In Rasmussen we get a great sprinter and good time trialist. Unfortunately, speed bumps are his mortal enemy.
In Lilholt we get another rider that will boost our cobbles campaign, which at this point is something we need to capitalize on.
In Hansen we get a potential puncheur for our team he still ahs to progress and without PT exreience in the coming years that will be tough, but he'll make a good domestique nevertheless.
So that's the end of our transfer season for this year. I am in the process of getting our schedule sorted out with the UCI, updates on that will come soon.
With the team's transfer season over, the roster for 2014 is officially released.

van Leijen raced for me the past 2 season, and I think C2 will be perfect for him. He's very aggressive and should at least get you into some screenshots

That was my main reason for going after him.

While sponsors were in line to make equipment for Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank, local manufacturers of the product are not available and the producers of Carlsberg jerseys and transferts are too busy to take on the project.
If anyone is available to produce the equipment, please contact team manager baseballlover312 via PM to form the details.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
It'd be much better if you contact equipment makers directly, small odds one will be looking in your thread specifically. Look into the man-game jersey contest thread and see how made jsersys for man-game teams and then contact them, should have more success that way I believe
Anyway, I really like your team focus, you stayed true to it and your team looks really nice. Good luck Although not set in stone, I definitely want to report few of the cobbled races in Conti division for sure, should be fun

Good idea, I'll do that instead.
And yes, I tried to stay true to it. The cobbled race should be fun. Hopefully I will train Ostergaard in another hill point and his stats and support can get him some wins or at least good placings.
