Nice race this turned out to be. Quite worthy of a HC event. Good result for us with Mendes being 8th. Now we go and take our seat in the stand and wait for Bouygues, Volkswagen and Bpost to make their moves.
Grats to Vespa, and thanks nico.
Only bad thing was Efimkin losing his chance in the descent.

7th is a good result in the big picture. It would have been hard for Zaini to get better than a Top 5 anyway, and it still puts more points on the table for us.

AMEX pointless in another hilly classic as Barredo gets TV time but fades dramatically in the final kilometers.

Can't fault Roches performance, since it was absolutely fantastic to see him create the race like that. I wonder if he burned himself out too much by being so offensive, and thereby loosing the chance to get a win. Third is still a strong and much needed result!
