I'm tempted to use that as my profile pic.
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

I'm willing to take Vaughters' word on what happened to his own rider.

No he was blown of the course, the area is quite barren and the winds can really rip across the fields so it's not that odd that it happened.

Damn I could have beat him, I wasn't doing to much during the day yesterday and could have rolled around the course

Weren't you even the one posting about Durbridge's illness here ?
On another matter: Is it worth getting the finale of the RR? It's really early CET, but on this particular weekend there's actually a rather good chance that i could catch it if i wanted, if it's streamed online.

I'm not sure what the odds of it being streamed online are, as it isn't on any international carrier that I know of, just a local free to air station. Even that I haven't properly checked though. Regardless the end of the race was quite good last year or the year before. Riders are starting to actually take it a bit more seriously. That said, if you watch it just expect to see a handful of in-form riders beating a whole lot of out of form ones and lots of local Australian riders.
Edit: it is being televised and on a more normal channel than I expected. It should be streamed somewhere.

You could PM Failured about what streams he uses for CyclingHub. I have a few but dunno about quality

Should be a good fight between the Orica team and the likes of Evans, Porte and Dennis(?). Any idea about the condition of Matthew Lloyd? He was really strong in 2012. |

He hasn't raced since last March so I'm willing to bet he is in absolutely terrible form. It is a shame because the course is quite good for him and I remember his ride in 2012.

Of course he did. And they also said Dennis punctured
It's a PR interview, it's not supposed to be factual.
The teams have all developed PR strategies which insist that any official comment must be as positive as possible, so we get used to reading things like "I am very disappointed to have chased down one of my own teammates, crash into a few others, gone end over end, broken three of their legs and destroyed half the team's bikes and team car, but me and my Euskaltel teammates are all in awesome form and I feel we have a great chance to win tomorrow's team time trial"
So true.

Caleb Ewan won the U23 criterium jersey yesterday and today he won the U23 road race. Steele Von Hoff from Garmin won the elite criterium championship.
