19 race days left for Bellis. So I hope to get a late boost by him.
4 more for Vantomme. So taking the Europe Crown might be hard as it`s not the best suited.
Boom only one classic left, while Geschke will still ride 4 classics.
Just by those numbers and seeing that Taaramae, Dekker and Kritskiy finished their season I might have good chances. |

Actually, now I've counted the inactive teams things look quite promising promotion-wise
The Africa rankings also look good for us, though it would be nice to finish inside the top five. Will have to do well at Phosphatiers and Faso.

It's looking increasingly positive for us, but I fear that Tour of America may well end up ruining everything. Fingers crossed for some luck.
Thanks for the update!

Unfortunately we've slipped from 4th to 9th on the Asia tour and it will now be a struggle to hold on to a top 10.

CSC Vs. UPC. It's time to buckle down.
Tour of America is going to decide our fate.

So it looks like 5 teams for 4 spots in the PCT? Will be very interesting to follow for sure.
Surprising to see ING that well in the mix, I feared for them after taking VDB away. Good job
Some CT teams here have to count a bit better like Froomedog did
The cutoff will be quite a bit lower than 5th.

Intense battles both at top and bottom of PCT. None of the top5 has secured its promotion, it's going to be tough for the ones being left off. At the bottom everything is still pretty jammed. Tour of America is really going to be a decider imo.
In the CT apart from the top5 who look more or less secured as promoted teams, I can feel the nervousness among the lower top10. They know some spots will open but they still have to perform in the next couple of months.
America Tour looks good for us. We'll surely drop the 1st place next month, but I like our chances at the top5 goal we have there.

I look at the pct rankings and I simply cannot understand Bintang, they looked on paper like they had a really decent promo hunting team.
Is it pcm12 or just a strangely planned season or a mixture of the two?
I was wondering the same thing. I'd say a combination of both. Alarcon was a shadow of his last season sure, but on the other hand I remember seeing them in mostly flat races and some stage-races where the mountains had little impact.
Also great to have you back, SN. Thanks for the update.

Well, they're incredibly one-sided for instance. De Fauw for a few sprint points and Leijman for some in the classics is just not enough with Alarcon not performing like last year.
Indeed PCM12 hurts them. Mountain stages give too few gaps, and so Krasnoperov loses time and lots of positions in hilly stages and Nazaret in TTs.
Not that it matters that much, I recall they'll disband anyway.

Well things can still go wrong, but I am not extremely worried about relegating now, even though everyone in the bottom 15 or so are all quite close apart from the bottom 3.
Top of the Asian rankings looks great too.

Still a chance to actually promote...
Please no...
Still... Vorganov and Fonte could rage over the last few classics (Wallonie, Cauberg, Yekaterinburg and Zuri Metzgete), Mestre can do nice stuff in Jelajah and Alsace... And if I get lucky Ansons might win Dobrich...
Oh... and Maksimov can also still win stages in Alsace and Utah...

Well it's looking good, especially that the PpRD for the team has gone up quite a lot! Roche really needs to deliver here in the final part, like he did last year. If not, then I can't see the team promote but it'll for sure be intriguing to follow.
@Cio93 Well VDB was never the success that I had hoped for, mostly because of some unlucky moments but I think it was for the better that I sold him. It made it possible to get Marchante + Zabriskie, and they have been solid. That VDB is doing so well in the pro tour is great to see though

Things are looking way scarier than they should. A lot is hanging on Tour of America for me, even though I think I may race quite few races compared to most other teams in the mid-season. Hoping to rack up the needed points in a hard struggle to get out of bottom 5. Going to be some intense nail biting sessions in the last part of the season, that's for sure!
Bpost is in an interesting position on the opposite end of the table, they have roughly 20 racedays less than the competition above them, and could very well snatch a promotion spot. It's going to be interesting.
And in the CT-division, Team Gazelle seems to have done something very correct this season.
Or everybody just ended up having poor/good luck due to weird AI.

I still don`t know what I prefer.
I would not be unhappy actually when staying another year in PCT before promotion. But then again it`s of course not guaranteed that next year will be even better with improved talents. So when not promoting this year it might take some seasons before I finally make it.
I like the race planning thing in PCT just a lot more. But being in the first league would of course also be interesting.

All those cobbled near-misses really showing now. Combined with general poor performance from Chicchi and the Colombians sees us below expectations.
Still Thomas and the Colombians have a few good chances to surprise yet! Chicchi not so much...
And just wait until Bakari finds some good legs! Even so promotion is long gone bar anything insane.
Some interesting battles elsewhere, especially for the CT promotion spots. The final months are going to be great

Oh man this is way too intense. I have a few races where I hope to score well coming up but I really need Gautier to actually do something. If he can finally pull something out of the bag at the end of the season then I might just scrape promotion. I would rather miss promotion by a few places than come one place outside of the promotion zone. I'm going to be keenly watching every single race from now on.
At the other end of the table, WWE are in a really interesting position with 60 race days left. Greipel pulling out a big result at America looks more and more important.

Not looking amazing for us, but I still have a fair number of Rohregger race days which should be good for some points.
Looks like if we are going to promote it will be due to inactives not due to our own performance...which is unfortunate but the way things happen.

It seems like we are always scoring points, but never enough points. Wich makes us a mid-table team. Some riders I really believed would give us more points this season...
Sitting on my job pc now, so no idea how the rest of the season looks for me, but I need Ratiy/Flügel/Castenada to find their best shape, only Keizer doing as good / better than I expected.

Thanks for the massive update SN!
Well, i am somewhat pleased that Metinvest is sitting in the middle of the table safe spot, i hope the gap will be enough in the end. We have most race days with 161, just 14 race days left in the season for us (and Deutschland Tour as wildcard bonus without points).
Two classics and Faso tour, this is not looking good for too many points. So i expect pretty big slide to some 16-20th place in the end, probably dropping behind HTC and Evian in the best PCT promoted team inner competition.
August was just bad for us at Metinvest, too much racing with too little results. Hoffman diasappointed somewhat and Popovych was fucked up with the AI in Greece. Also two goals missed this month and top10 in Europe Tour is also out of question.

Incredibly bad month for us, so hopefully things will pick up again after this. But I can't see us avoiding relegation now to be honest. No biggie, just have to rethink my team a bit, but will have some nice riders next year.
We have a lot of racing left in October, but bad planning might cost us there. No TTist in Herald Sun. Wanze-Arenberg, Tour of Britain and Tour du Faso will be key for us. Big scores there might just save us.
Btw, why is it that a team 13th in the CT gets a spot in PCT because of inactivity of a team over a team cuurently active in the PCT. Seems a bit weird to me, although it's been in the rules from the start I believe.
