[Mini] Tour du Haut Var
Margh Norway
Have seen some good things in the opening stage.
Six of my Zoegas guys finished in the main group and four of them in the top14.
The riders been attentive all over the stage and were staying away from crashes.
And finally there is a promising lead in the youth competition for Matthias Wengelin.

On one hand it was a strong showing the last 40 kilometres, but on the other I was wondering why we were not able to close the gap to the breakaway.

The few words I could change with Frederik Wilman (11th place) doesn't make me much smarter.

He said...(still slightly out of breath... and kinda confused)
Frederik Wilman:...they were done. Lots of unrest in the bunch. Some Teams had lost main contenders and were worried.
Was a tough one and we hadn't much help then. The break guys must have done a hell of a job. Think they'll gonna pay for it tomorrow...

Sprint was a joke, the others seem to let us earn something for the work we've done.
Just the Millenium guy was there... hustling... like always.
We definitely have to keep an eye on Mate of iBanesto. He was somewhat smiling and looking easy when he passes me.

Rucanor is pleased to see a great performance of Stamsnijder. He didn't have the energy to give an interview immediately after the stage, but later on we got to speak him.

Stamsnijder:
I am very surprised by this great result. I had never thought this was going to happen. I feel it's a shame we lost the KoM, but this result fully compensates it. I hope I can now hang on for tomorrow

Electrabel witha successful first stage here. A great performance by Pavel Patocki to take the K.O.M and 17th place. Disappointed he was dropped from the break but he came 17th. Good result by my GC contender Johan Coenen managing to atay in the main group.

Jesleyh
Hmm, kinda disappointing for the team...

Yeah, well earned. Smile
Was a brave ride by Patocki in the break today, but I'm wondering how much energie he might have left for the upcoming 200+ kilometres.
Regarding Matthias Wengelin I have no doubts about his strength.
He'll keep the jersey!

Excellent day for Commonwealth Bank!

We managed to get Clarke on the break and despite he won one mountain sprint and the intermediate sprint he didn't got a jersey or the stage win.

But with our 2 leaders on the main group we can aim to every classification, including the teams classification that we hold now with the same time then Fuji.

Only bad Alemayhu crashed but we hope that he will be strong on stage 2.

Interesting fights for next stage.

Wow, quite a stage today. I'm very pleased with 4th on the day for Cassidy, a nice surprise.

Again, great job with the report roturn, I know it's been a while. Only thing is, on one pic it was noted that Nose and Downing were contenders, they dropped out of the top 50! Pfft

I meant that those two could have done better and so it was a surprise that they dropped out that early. Wink

What a terrible day for Coldeportes. The so called "Climber team" had 1 guy finish in the peloton, way back in 40th. What a day!Angry

Yeah, we have hired him as a trainee to the team late in the transfer season Smile

He definitely has the potential to be a very solid climber! Will be interesting if he can stay with the best on 2nd stage.

Start of next week I think.

There is a narrow road problem in the stage final. But so far I haven`t found a solution to fix it.

So I might have to report it with it.

Atlantius
Ok. Thanks for the info
