Horner's agent questioning why Horner is still yet to be offered a contract next year... I wonder why? He's 41, suspected of doping, links to Armstrong... Bit of risk in my eyes. Just look at what happened with Leipheimer at OPQS

I just read this on the BBC website:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cycling/...g/24390673
Is this reported anywhere else and is there any credibility in it? |

cyclingnews also have an article on it:

I'm not going to form any opinions until I get more details though.

If the Vuelta winner can't find a team, his agent must be doing a lousy job. |

Or team directors are not that stupid to sign an obvious doper.

RSNT doesnt want him anymore. Riis doesn't have the money. Astana has completed their roster with other climbers.
Most of the usual suspects are out of the question. That leaves what, Cannondale or Lampre?

If only Vacansoleil were still around for next year, he'd fit in perfectly there... |

Reminds me a bit of Alakagom's signature: Vacansoleil's contracts catch more dopers than drug testing.

Apparently, Horner is aiming at a 2-year contract for 1 million dollars per year. That might just be the largest obstacle between him and any team. |

VCD signed washed up dopers from the European circuit though, never USADA case suspects.
Leipheimer was at Rabobank for example, for several years.
Also, new case of team bike theft. This time it's Europcar at the Eurométropole Tour.

https://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/l...-fold.html
UK Youth are the latest team to fold. it's quite a surprise they were unable to attract a new sponsor for 2014 especially with Nigel Mansell as their figure head.
edit - the article i linked to has now changed and gone from saying the team will fold to now saying that they might fold if they can't find a sponsor.

Confirms Europcar's application to WT. Drapac and Yellow Fluo ( amazingly accurate provisional name of Scinto's team ) in PCT which has only 16 teams now. Bretagne-Séché isn't in the list.

Looks like a merger with Nippo-De Rosa for Vini. None of their old riders in though, it seems?

They're merging with Vini's continental team, IIRC. |
