Very interesting thread! I know too little about U23 so a perfect way to follow it more closely! |

Agreed, it's a good idea for a thread.
Also, I completely lost track of the U23 riders that transfered to a WT/PCT team.
Anyone motivated to put it in a small summary, f.e. with the Cyclingfever transfers list?

Oh, also useful
But I meant the big talents who transfered to the WT teams

Ill throw some names in the pot.
Bakhtiyar Kozhatayev seems pretty alright.
Toms Skujins is also a pretty talented rider. Good sprinter, good on the hills.
Flaksis is another rider, but hard to judge.
Flakemore looks like a really good TT rider, he should do well I think.
Also wish Polanc was here, to see what he could do, as well as Hirt, but Czech Republic isn't here.

These are all listed as confirmed transfers by CQ-ranking.
| Alexis Gougeard | Ag2r - La Mondiale | | Andrea Zordan | Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela | | Barry Markus | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | | Nick van der Lijke | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | | Rick Zabel | BMC Racing Team | | Alberto Bettiol | Cannondale Pro Cycling | | Davide Formolo | Cannondale Pro Cycling | | Matej Mohoric | Cannondale Pro Cycling | | Davide Villella | Cannondale Pro Cycling | | Christophe Laporte | Cofidis Solutions Crédits | | Clément Venturini | Cofidis Solutions Crédits | | Louis Verhelst | Cofidis Solutions Crédits | | Nathan Brown | Garmin - Sharp | | Lasse Norman Hansen | Garmin - Sharp | | Dylan van Baarle | Garmin - Sharp | | Niccolo Bonifazio | Lampre - Merida | | Valerio Conti | Lampre - Merida | | Vegard Breen | Lotto - Belisol | | Sean De Bie | Lotto - Belisol | | Dayer Quintana | Movistar Team | | Julian Alaphilippe | OmegaPharma - Quick Step Cycling Team | | Damien Howson | Orica - GreenEDGE | | Lawson Craddock | Team Argos - Shimano | | Daan Olivier | Team Argos - Shimano | | Romain Guillemois | Team Europcar | | Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier | Team Europcar | | Michael Valgren | Team SaxoBank | | Eugenio Alafaci | Trek Cycling Team | | Fabio Silvestre | Trek Cycling Team | | Jasper Stuyven | Trek Cycling Team |
A couple of these riders are from 1990 and therefore not in the u23 category anymore, but I included them because they are still talented riders.

Oh wow, thanks Willier!
I missed the transfer from Van der Lijke to Belkin. That's a good transfer.
Also, didn't know Markus was riding U23 races
Cannondale signed some nice talent, wow.
(Garmin as well)

No he isn't because he's in a WT team, but technically he's still an u23 rider. Same with Kelderman, also born in 1991.
Edit: And Demare. And Coquard.

Tour de l'Avenir GC:
1. Juan Chamorro
2. Clement Chevrier
3. Louis Vervaeke
At least two of these will end up on the podium. These are the three along with Formolo (Italian riders in a Tour = no) who have shown best results in the hardest races so far. |

Coquard is in a PCT team though. |

Avenir lacks the biggest U23 talent in my opinion though. Kolahdozhagh! |

The Tabriz results of this year will probably be stripped in a few years anyway
