New Sealand Cycle Classic

Today starts the New Sealand Cycle Classic
There are 4 stages. One ITT of 6,5 km, and 4 flat stages.
There is a big oppurtunity that a sprinter wins. But a good time-tiralist can win to. Or maybe a breakaway...

Our team
We have a strong team for this race. With Havik we go for a stage win.

Bob Schoonbroodt
Dion Beukeboom
Dairo Quintana
Kai Reus
Niels de Vries
Roy Sentjens
Ronan van Zandbeek
Yoeri Havik

Maybe you think... "Who is Dairo Quinta?" He is our newest rider. He will help Niels de Vries in stage races and can go for stage wins.

Stage 1
Ronan van Zandbeek starts for us as firstst rider. He started to fast and gets a result of 9'12".
Then the Norwegian Frederik Wilmann. He set the first good time. 9'01" was the result. But than come a german.
Stefan Schumacher! He sets a time of 8'58". A time that will stand for a long time.
Then comes Roy Sentjens, Bob Schoonbroodt, Kai Reus and Dairo Quintana. They set all good times but not good enough for the prices.
From the other riders only Darren Lapthorn had a good time, but not good enough: 8'59".
But then comes Niels de Vries. He rides a incredible Time Tiral and set a time of...
8'55"! The new fastest time!
Only Sabido and Cardoso come close but De Vries wins!

i795.photobucket.com/albums/yy240/nielsdevries1998/NewSealandCycleClassicstage2_zps584b41a6.jpg

Today is the second stage of the New Sealand Cycle Classic. Our mission for today is to defend the leader yersey of Niels de Vries. Our second goal is to win the stage with Yoeri Havik. The ITT of yersterday proves that he has a good form.

The hills aren't hard enough to make it difficult for the sprinters. There is on Sprint at 31km. And there are 4 hills whose one a 3th catarogie and 3 of the 4th. The last mountain is at 34km for the finish.

We hope we can set a good result.
