Andy can't descend with the best, so he'd need a huge gap at the top. Tomorrow will be a stage for Movistar, either Rui Costa or Alejandro Valverde. They need to salvage something besides Quintana's white jersey and top 10. |

Voeckler has been too quiet up to now. If he tries nothing tomorrow he's too weak.
De Gendt in a long break, I think. |

Cavendish won this back in 2009:
Col de Manse is a bit harder of course, but not by much, right? May see Cannondale, Orica and Argos doing a job for a sprint here.

Escrinet has a maximum gradient of just over 5%, and less than 4% for most of the climb. Manse is much harder.
No chance for a mass sprint, I'd say.

Seems like a day where Voeckler could take it if he has the legs, and you know France is hurting for a win.
I think a few sprinters may try to get in the break as well, though the chase by Cannondale and the other sprint teams that miss the break would catch them if that's the case. |

Only people looking at cycling through nationalistic glasses are hurting for a win by X or Y rider of that nationality.
Voeckler really doesn't seem as strong as the previous years (plus the leaders are stronger). I'd rather bet on Chavanel, although he was already on the move in the Ventoux. |

I dont really see why ASO invited BMC, Cofidis and FDJ. I haven't even noticed them in the Tour. Sure I heard they mention TJ and Evans a couple of times. That they have been dropped but thats mostly it.
(I may be exaggerating a bit but you see my point)

Because they only invited Cofidis in the aforementioned list ? |

It will be interesting to see what happens. Will they ride like crazy from the start again or wait till the last climb? I think the GC-men will decide the stage nevertheless, no chance for a break I think. |

Before the tour started, i bet Andy looked at this stage...then cursed out the organizers for making this stage again
Seriously, with the TT on the next day, I say a breakaway wins. BUT, with so much time needed to catch Froome, Contador might do a 2011 attack. Shall be interesting.

I think he's riding for 2nd place from now on, while hoping that Froome collapses like Porte on one of the remaining stages.
From what I understood, he pretty much gave up the idea of trying to beat Froome after Ventoux.

Not sure if it's been said before, but Danny van Poppel has withdrawn.

Can see a guy like Gerrans, Voeckler or Gilbert winning from a break. |

It has to be Voeckler to put some pride back in French cycling |

Think that Argos might try to win with Degenkolb in a small peloton, so might be hard racing and actually a sprint.

Degenkolb is not in great shape and he has no chance at all to get over that climb. If the peloton is together, the favourites will explode it. If it's a breakaway, Degenkolb won't be there. |

I see Voeckler is going to win every stage this Tour in eyes of many. He sucks this year, he is not going anywhere.
