Chris Froome will finish second, behind Danny Pate!!! Pate will only start next Friday then catch everyone up in time to win on the Champs as well.
Or Arashiro with a 12hour breakaway win
Or Veilleux in the same breakaway
Or the next rider to get hit by a car who gets too much sympathy
Or Lance Armstrong with the greatest clean comeback ride of all time
Or myself, i've been training so why not give it a go

WTF is Schleck doing in the poll?
Close call between Valverde and Quintana. I'm quite confident that they'll be 2nd and 3rd as long as they avoid exploding in the Alps. Mollema and Contador to complete the top 5.

I am going to Say Valverde
Contador is finished at the top of the racing game, when it comes to Tour De france until his contract with Saxobank is over. Then he will go to a proper team and we will see a huge change.

Well i put Andy Schleck in there because he is slowly getting his form back and was riding at the front in stage 9. You never know he does have the X Factor to it and could gain some form as the tour heads into the alps and Ventoux |

What makes you think Mollema is a better timetrialist as Valverde?
I said on a similar level
And Valverde might have the edge in the upcoming TT, since it has some climbs, and I rate the Vuelta TT similar in terms of climbing. Of course, I can be wrong in that
Also
@Nibali14 Pinot is 31 minutes back in the GC. And is worse at decents than Wiggins and Gesink...
No way he'll be second.

Stage 20 seems perfect for Pinot
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

The first ITT on wednesday is fairly flat. Looking at the profile, the biggest difference in altitude is from 9.5km (10 meters above sea level) to 14-15km (60-65 meters). So it's more of a false flat than a climb, with <2%.
Second ITT, however, has a 6km and a 7km climb, both at about 6% average.

I hope so as well, but he seems to be absolutely broken down after the descent problems.
"When I saw that I was not able to stay on the wheel of a rider like Mark Cavendish on the descent off a mountain pass, I asked myself: ‘What am I doing on the Tour?' I received the clear response that I have nothing to do here.

Cavendish is a very good descender though, its not like Andy Schleck dropped him. I hope it improves, as he's one of my favourite riders and a huge talent. |

FDJeux staff were wise to keep him racing mostly out of France this season. Still, L'Équipe were already headlining something like "Can Pinot do it ?" (win TDF) soon after last year's Tour ended.
I guess he put himself too much pressure. That plus his fear in the descents, and once he got dropped his mental totally collapsed. |

I feel Purito is underrated in this poll. He has stayed quiet so far but I expect him to come strong near the end of the tour. He used to make the mistake of being too good too early in a gt, might have learned from that

The average placings of the top 7 in all TT (over 10 km in length) in 2012 and 2013. The worst placing is omitted from the calculation.
They all look well matched except Froome of course. And with Contador's current form he's a big question mark to me.
