Voeckler can practically do anything, especially when you don't expect it.
But I wouldn't expect it |

I think Voeckler will lose some time/save energy for Sunday, when he is very likely to win the stage

Costa says he was brought down by Cavendish yesterday and he's hurting so doesn't expect to have the legs because of that. Now he just wants to finish the Tour

And for a stage when a break might have a chance, even if it's a small one. Tomorrow zero chance for breaks

Pinot because Rolland is inconsistent, even though Pinot is not much better than last year

Usually, Quintana by a country mile. But since Quintana has had 3 crashes, no idea.

RodrÃguez, if neither is yet declining

Quintana would have to be badly injured from the crashes to finish below TVG.

Not exactly my first pick, but he's 16 minutes or so behind on the GC, so he could win if the breakaway got sufficient distance I suppose.
Personally I think the GC contenders will deck it out for the win though. I'd expect UK Postal and/or Saxo to go pretty hard on Pailheres, so a breakaway would need a considerable gap to stay away. |

Rolland to win tomorrow, I think. Well, Froome has a better chance ofc, but it's not fun to predict him.
I don't think the real GC favourites will give all they've got this stage, they will be looking at each other more than at outsiders like RollandSpoiler And maybe Mollema pretty please?

That stage just screams for Voeckler. Only thing that can stop him from going in the break will be Rolland going in the break for the polka dots. |

Dutch commentator said today that Rolland won't put too many effort in the polka-dots, but will go for the GC instead.

Yes, commentator fail. But I meant won't go in breaks for KoM only.

Yes they surely know what Europcars tactics are... And if Rolland doesn't perform tomorrow, sundays stage is great for points. He already has a few so he is clearly interested.
That being said I'm still pretty sure Voeckler will go for it as he is the safest bet for a stage win. |
