Anyone knows what wrong with Goss??? He is a shadow from the Goss from last year Tour and not having a great season so far. |

Yeah, but being afraid to crash shouldn't mean that Goss is cracking on the tiniest of hills that even Cav can get over. (If thats what you meant by the Farrar point)

Zabel says he sees a lot of parralells between Goss and Cooke 10 years ago. Not really the right direction to go

Wouldn't draw comparisions. Farrar just doesn't have the confidence for the high speed's of the really major races anymore. Whereas Goss is just kind of sh*t.
He had a great 2011 but at least to me that always seemed unwarranted. In the sense that before then he had never shown, to me, that stand out quality. And then he was part of Highroad, the best sprint team ever, which obviously helped.

He did win a mass sprint in the Tirreno this year. The race with the highest quality sprinting field after the tour

Cav's gonna take a double.
Yesterday Roelandts had problems with his back and got dropped on that tiny hill, and he's a vital part of the Lotto-train. If he still has problems tomorrow, OPQS might have the better train, and a well piloted Cav is impossible to overtake. |

Got my money for today on Cavendish outright, Greipel to beat Kittel, and outsider each way bets on Impey, Ferrari and Rojas (basically hoping for a crash and one of them sneaking into the top 3 )

Think it'll be Kristoff or Sagan. They've each been on form and it's about time one of them takes a stage. |

So we will not last a week without some bigger name General Classification rider bowing out due to injuries sustained in a crash. Unfortunate for Lotto-Belisol and Van den Broeck considering he had gone almost a full week's worth of stages.
I assume Greipel's train just got stronger though as Lotto-Belisol dedicate all their resources to helping Greipel on the flat stages. |

Sad news, but one can at least hope that he'll learn from his mistake this time. Focusing the entire season on one race is a very fragile plan.
