Probably at Vacansoleil's place. Hopefully they can get a sponsor for next year.

+1 Dutch isn't written wit a big D, very disappointed. And 162 is now 163.
Belgians have already won a stage
But I think you won't have to wait long. Really hope that Mollema can win a stage

'We' were already just 500m away from a stage-win today, so who knows?

'You' were 9.6 millimetres away from having to look even two years further back Wink

Still sad about that the T-Mobile guy didn't win? Well, you don't even have the right to complain, 'You' Germans won a stage a few days ago Pfft

I never said I was sad.

It's indeed tempting to include a similar counter in my signature Pfft

1998 Tour Retesting

Looking at the leaked list of positive tests and which are positive we can't know who is positive in each stage, there are no names attached.

However, we can know who's positive for stages 6 and 8 as every rider tested was positive on those stages and the stage winner and yellow jersey were always tested.

So.

Jacky Durand, Laurent Desbiens, Mario Cipollini and Stuart O'Grady. EPO positives. None is even remotely surprising. As is normal for the 90s.

EDIT: As for the Boardman discussion, 2 of the 3 samples from the prologue are missing so could not be tested. The 3rd one is positive.

For Boardman's tsecond day in yellow, 3 positives and a visual positive (so if I understand what they mean by visual positive, Boardman has been caught)

Next day, 2 positives and two negatives. If I understand these percentages correctly, not "No EPO in the samples" negative, just "Not enough exogenous EPO to trigger a positive" negative. Stage winner was Svorada and yellow jersey was Erik 'I only took EPO in 1996, honest' Zabel

Odds of any part of the Australian cycling press talking about O'Grady being positive? Zero.

Imagine what would happen on SBS (oz T.V for all outside Oz) Count, they attempted to spin the GreenEdge bus thing as a good thing so I would love to watch them spin O'Grady

I could see it now:

"The cobblestones shook up his blood so that the main benefit of EPO was not in fact present for his win at Paris-Roubaix. What a true champion."

Beg to differ. Channel 9 would, as they try to bag out every sport they don't own all the rights too.

I doubt it would last more than a 30 second slot in the sport segment on there "news". It would get a run on the ABC and the news limited papers would eat it up as they love cycling doping stories

O'grady deserves some heat in the press. He is an ass-hole afterall

I forgot to mention that the bunch of retired senators that's conducting the investigations has finally admitted that it wasn't such a smart idea to release the list on the day of the Alpe d'Huez stage and that they could bother waiting a few more days to release it.
Some common sense ? Yes, but that's rather rare, coming from politicians here...

Your interpretation is correct.
And that was in 2004, thresholds for positives have been lowered since then.

They should put the list out in the day of the Alpe's stage. It would be so attracting to the media.
