Oh, I have to start calling Blanco Belkin now.
Well, that will take some time, now it's mid-season...

My predictions for the Tour:
TOP 10
1. Alberto Contador (he hasn't shown his best this year so far. he's a champion and he'll outfight Froome by a little margin)
2. Chris Froome
Battle over the third place will be very interesting in my opinion. there at least ten riders who have the potential to do so. And 20 rider to get into Top 10. However here's my rest of the Top 10.
3. Alejandro Valverde (he's a proven GT rider. The route suits him really good. was great in la vuelta last year.)
4. Joaquim Rodriguez (on par with valverde. but i see one of-day for him which favours valverde over him.)
5. Bauke Mollema (impressed me this year. really good climber with the hilly TT's. i expect a lot from him this year. hope belkin don't make the mistake und put gesink over him.)
6. Tejah van Garderen or Cadel Evans (who will be the leader? I take TVG)
7. Jürgen van den Broek (not a strong season so far. but also not bad. he's very consistent and a top 10 finish should be in the bag.)
8. Jakob Fuglsang (great Dauphine. i have a feeling he will make the top 10.)
9. One Garmin rider (If Hesjedal is fit he will make the top 10. a top 5 is possible also then. If Hesjedal isn't ready there's Talansky. Martin however I don't see there. He's not that consistent.)
10. Andy Schleck (Has he lost his motivation or what? But I expect a sign of life in this tour.)
note: If Valverde crash in the first week Quintana will take his spot. I'm not sure what to do with Porte. I can see him in the Top 10 or even Top 5 BUT it's a three-week race.
Green
Easy decision. The Tourminator will strike again. Sagan with top 3-5 finishes in the sprints. Win or podium in stage 2,3,5. Gap stage could well be a good stage for him too after what i saw in Suisse.
Polka Dot
Dan Martin or Tom Voeckler
White

Top Ten is a pain.
1. Froome
2. Contador
3. VDB
4. Valverde
5. Mollema (more a punt then anything)
6. Pinot
7. Quintana
8. Evans
9. Someone from Euskatel
10. Talansky (assuming Ryder isnt in the team)
There's some random work in there. Purito just because I figure someone big won't finish due to illness/injury and he was the unlucky straw. Porte wont be up there because he will ride for Froome. Properly. Froome rode half assed for Wiggins during much of last years tour which is why he managed to get the podium with him. He could get top ten though, the last few places are really anyone of about 20 guys.
Green
I'm gonna with Cav. I think there is enough top sprinters to shunt Sagan down the order on the proper flat pack sprint stages. I'm sure he will take one of the flat stages, but he does not perform in them reliably (which is mainly due to the lack of a train.) With 4-5 trains at the front Sagan won't be able to get through. Its going to be might close though. I really feel it could come down to the final sprint, with Sagan having to deny Cav 5/5 to win green. Infact, I'd probably be happy to have Cav lose if Sagan wins by beating him on the Champs-Elysées. Would probably be the most fitting win ever.
Polka - Tommy. Its a total freaking lottery really but since he says his riding for Rolland but he will get bored.
White - Pinot, although it really depends what happens week one with regarded Valverde and Evans. If either one blows early, then TJ or Quintana could challange (Quintana for sure, I think Pinot would still beat TJ though.
Team - Movistar. Sky and Saxo will actually have to use their riders. Quintana will easily outplace the second place Saxo guy (Rogers?) and will keep with Porte. Costa is capable of sticking with it too. Also feel they will probably be looking at that competition earlier then Saxo and Sky as I don't think Valverde will be able to live with Contador and Froome for long. (I know I have him 4th, but I think there could be 4-5 minutes between 2 and 3. |

Really? First, Fuglsang is Astana leader on Tour and seems in good form, second, Brajkovic until Suisse didn't show anything in this season. |

1. Froome
2. Contador
3. Rodriguez
4. Valverde
5. Porte
6. Quintana
7. Rolland (even though he's fed with cortison, he doesn't end up higher)
8. Tejay Van Garderen
9. Van der Broeck
10. Jakob Fuglsang
If Froome doesn't win, I will drink 3 bottles of vodka. No one can beat him.
Contador am I pretty sure about ending second.
Rodriguez and Valverde will compete for 3 place, but I think purito will win that fight. Valverde receiving the last place in top 4.
Porte is one the best climbers / TT dudes in the peloten. Even though he is a helper he will be able to maintain the 6th place.
Quintana will sneak in af ter Porte. Rolland will end 7. even though he's fed with dope, and should have an advantage.
I don't believe Tejay will surprise everyone this year.....The last three spots in top 10 could be anyone, but I don't believe in Broeck neither Fuglsang will end uo higher. |

Most of the top 10 is complete guesswork. Valverde and Hesjedal will either be very good or very average (average by Valverde's standards being 7th or so)
EDIT: And of course most of the variability comes from the fact that every year someone is massively better than expected, and someone is massively worse

My take on this year:
1. Froome
2. Contador
3. Valverde
4. Rodriguez
5. Porte
6. Van Garderen
7. Van den Broeck
8. Evans
9. Fulgsang
10. Pinot
I'm expecting some close battle for the last 3 positions of the top10, namely with Rolland, Pinot and Mollema looking for any chance to step up.
Green jersey: Cavendish should take it. I think Sagan will be kept an eye on very closely on transition stages.
Polka dot: Voeckler to repeat it.
