Both Contador and Fothen in the attack, despite that Fothen is not even in the race is nice. I suspect that Contador left that gap because he couldn't find Fothen anywhere.

lol no problem mate...
the TT was pretty good but Contador needs to have a great next stage to get into the podium contention, but I guess 5th is the most realistic stuff from him here, as I doubt he will beat van den Broeck. Sicard could be difficult to beat aswell.

Call that a nice TT from VDB
Still a really hard day tomorrow that allows for rather big gaps even with only small stat differences. Or a big group sprint

Wow, Phinney went crazy.
Valls doesn't look likely to get a top ten now, which is a shame.

Having the race lead just turns Phinney into a beast, it seems

Phinney is awesome. What a ride that was.
It's great to see a really selective stage, Ventoux honours his name

Great prologue for us (Orica-Greenedge anyone?)
But De la Fuente managed to top that one with a stage win, even though he lost (obviously) the yellow jersey in the TT. Better than the whole Vuelta I think. Even with the Ventoux stage where our riders dropped a lot GC-wise.

Smashing ride from Phinney. Certainly did not expect him to put so much time into his rivals like that.
He also managed to push us into the lead in every classification, with the team doing a good job to keep things relatively under control despite the number of early attacks.

Phinney has really come on this year, I guess this iteration of PCM really suits him. What a brilliant climb of Ventoux that was, it is strange haw sometimes the AI give us a really good mountain stage.
Gesink had a tough time, he will be the one who needs to do something in the next three stages. If other races are anything to go by you suspect it is breakaway city now.

....and cannot really complain about that got in a good little break but GC guys looked to gain time. Fancy Spilak has sealed podium there, shame for Ges and Valv really they did not get something.
Di Maggio gives the doomed Venchi some cheer.

Survived this stage without any time loss
The last stage shouldn't give time gaps either, so it's all-in tomorrow to consolidate that great GC position.

Excellent riding from Di Maggio! He confirms that he is competetive in the Pro Tour on his better days. I'm very glad to finally see him win again.
Looks like we are in a good period right now. Two stage wins in the Vuelta and one so far here. Very good! This was actually our first Pro Tour win not coming from a TV-breakaway, as well.
Brambilla in with the favorites (minus Spilak) to yet another 22th place, climbing a bit in the overall classification. Good racing from him, considering he is still young.

Man, there's the absence of time gaps again. At least Valverde got some bonus seconds.
Otherwise been going quite ok in the TTs and the mountain stage. Feeling the pressure from Alarcon though, so could be difficult keeping the top 5 in the GC.

Phinney is insane this season!
Pleased to see that the Ventoux opened some big gaps. A climb you can always trust doing so.
The overall podium looks all but sealed, I think. Will be hard for Vandenbroeck or Valverde to drop them on the Télegraphe.

Valls has Keniath in his sights, but 11th is ok.
