Duchesne 5th?! He's a level 1 talent with mediocre stats.
Strange sprint.

Awang might need to work on his positioning at the finale as whilst he is one of huge strongest sprinters he's never got the right position, does anyone know what stat would need training to help correct this?
From what I could tell while playing, his positioning wasn't the problem - he was just out of steam already several kilometers from the finish. My guess would be that his low secondary stats, FL in particular, is the reason. He has a great turn of speed, but didn't seem to have the recovery to do it again after going for the intermediate sprints.
As for the strange result, I honestly have no idea what happened. There wasn't any strong wind, which would be the first guess. Only one I'm sure of is Dekkers, who had to do way too much work to get into position.

So Demare sprints...and he's better than those that finished ahead of him... Belletti and Speirs do nothing and are beaten by domestiques like Vakoc? Uh, okay then.
I guess I'm satisfied? Lets hope for a more normal stage 2

It's a little bit of general annoyance a him that's built up as he always seemed to pick the wrong train, or no train in Southland that's just finished so as it seemed to be reoccurring I was wondering whether it was bad luck or something I could influence.
I was thinking it might be either flat or one of the energy stats or maybe even fighter (long shot but it seemed like he wasn't fighting for the best wheel and was happy to sit behind a few other sprinters)
I'll have to try and compare him to similar sprinters to see if there is one in particular that needs improving or if it's across the board.

Huh, I guess the team is working for Demare in the sprints? I mean I like Demare but Belletti and Speirs are both better on this flat terrain.
Whatever, Cio will be happy and Demare keeps getting some points so it's not a disaster..its just odd.

Another rubbish sprinter seems to be emerging with Awang - is it low FLA or low RES that causes this? I tend to dislike riders with a low FLA stat, who only ever seem to do well in races under 100 klicks (and pan flat ironically).
Pleased to see Renshaw get amongst them, when doing Cadbury's planner with their team the real hope was a to nick as many sprint results as I could and hope for breakaways that is the best they can hope for.

The move to this level of racing has really done Abakoumov a world of good.

Demare constantly getting good results, I wonder what he could have done without only being Magna's third best sprinter.

Very solid TT from Cadbury's there six riders in the GC top twenty, I wonder if they can hang on okay in the hilly stage. Who knows if they can take advantage of dodgy AI.
Gazelle remind me very much of the Wiggle formula is 2011 - a close knit group of hilly guys with a TTer who can climb. They are putting on a phenomenal performance in this month.
It's probably worth pointing out too that they are concentrating heavily on C2 races and not wasting too much time chasing XP for their riders (or even worse other teams riders).

Great result! Impressive job by Westra to beat Flens in a flat TT. Also strong rides by Goddaert, Lalouette and Shaekov.
On to stage 5! More than 200km of constant up and down; this might become interesting. We have a good position going into it, but I expect the other teams to attack us fiercely.
I hope Westra doesn't make the mistake of depending on his team too much, like Furdi did in Bretagne. They should be used for controlling the early breakaway and maybe the long range sub-top breakaway. But if guys like Ilias, Cioban, Grau and Gingsjo attack, Westra should go with them. He's strong enough to do that.

Ridiculous, Arnaud, absolutely ridiculous.
Congrats to Gazelle, difficult to push them out of the promotion spots now, I guess.

Close to something spectacular for Cadbury's through Vink but still a very good 3 - 7 - 8th on GC. Shame about Horgan DNFing.
Vennel is a very ordinary looking rider, would have struggled to get that kind of finish even in a CDiv2 race from last year. Fairly weak hilly AI no doubt contributes, but also a fairly weak all round CTour TTing field I guess.
Gazelle obviously massive winners here, a fair few teams will have not received good points I guess.

As expected, impressive race from Gazelle.
Shame about the stupid AI that those three in front just sit up on the final hill with more thana minute lead.

Well deserved big result for Gazelle, really getting their reward this week for focusing solely on C2 races. Certainly some CT riders who could have challenged them here have used up race days in C1 races, and not done too well out of it.

It looks like this has a been a huge month for Gazelle indeed. Massive haul of points to their promotion aspirations. It was kinda obvious since the off-season that they would be fighting for CT's top ranks but it seems DD mastered the race-planning part very well too. I'm looking forward to battle them in the PCT next year.

Thanks guys! This has been an awesome week for the team and the Ronde van Belgiƫ result is the icing on the cake. Fantastic job by Westra, Lalouette and Shaekov to take 1-2-4.
I hope these results inspire next year's CT managers to appreciate the C2 races more. PCT teams have more than double our salary cap; being shielded from them is a great thing and allows even CT domestiques to grab good points.
