I hope he doesn't. It'd add some drama.

This, a million times.
I'd actually enjoy the Tour if both of them think their Sky's leader. Imagine Contador, Purito and Van den Broeck attacking and Froome following, while Wiggins gets dropped wearing yellow.

Fair point, although this time Froome wont be slowing down to wait.

So I see Froome-Wiggins debate is still going on
Can't see why hardcore cycling fans have this debate If Froome doesn't crash anywhere, he will totally annihilate Wiggins and every other rider bar maybe Contador ( that is if he greatly imrpvoes from his early season form )

Interesting, so my hypothesis wasn't actually as far off as I thought it may be.
As for the Le Tour Leadership issue, where's that picture of Wiggins throwing his bike in a fit of rage when I need it . |

That won't be the case. Despite what Brailsford has said publicly, Wiggins is certainly going to go into the Tour thinking he should be team leader. And he won't be the only member of Sky to think that (including possibly Brailsford - there's quite an allure to a Giro-Tour double)

I wonder what Sky riders would side with Brad over Chris, especially as Chris is designated leader, and the stronger climber...

Chris is designated leader in the media.
And I think you're ignoring that cyclists are human beings. Who they choose to support is not as clear cut as "he's a slightly stronger climber". They're not emotionless entities.

Today, Dave Brailsford, Team Principal, re-emphasised that Sky's Tour plan is Chris Froome... This isn't just a Chris vs Brad debate. Dave has said that the leader will be Chris Froome.

Chris Froome had already hinted very heavily (via his significant other's twitter account) that without this guarantee, he would not be riding in Sky colours in the Tour. So what else is Brailsford going to do, but tell the media this?
Guess what? People lie to the media. Wiggins has already stated publicly he wants to do the Giro-Tour double. Will Brailsford deny him, his golden boy who achieved the stated aim of the Sky team (win the Tour with a British rider within 5 years)?
To think just because he's said that in public completely rules out Wiggins being Sky's designated leader in the Tour is ludicrous.

Don't like the sound of that Well, good for Pinot but Démare definitely could've done something in the Tour!
On the matter of Vanspeybrouck (TSV), for all those still not believing in his innocence:
He was on a camp in Calpe, he got ill and received Duovent. He normally uses Ventolin, for which he has a medical attest, but there wasn't any there on the camp. So his doctor assured him it was the same.
When the doping doctor/agent visited him, he told him he had Duovent. The agent asked for his attest for that. He didn't know he had to have one and called his doctor, who admitted his mistake then.
Vanspeybrouck underwent tests and tested negative, so the thing wasn't even in his blood/whatever (anymore), probably just had some puffs on training.
The disciplinary board acknowledges there wasn't any fraud but gave him a 3 month ban anyway, which he thinks is unfair because he loses a big part of the season that way. |

Everybody thinks that the ban is unfair, no matter how much they have doped.
The anti-doping rules applies to everybody and that is good. It is in the responsibility of the athlete to make sure no prohibited substances are in his body. In this case Vanspeybrouck took a prohibited substance to recover faster. It would have been easy not to take Duovent and/or ask somebody to bring Ventolin.
Finally it is simple: He didn't want to wait and recover naturally, now he has to wait 3 month because of it. |

Yeah, he "got ill" and needed Duovent.
He should be happy with a 3-month ban.

I hope this don't mean we won't see any FdJ riders in long breaks.

The Tour is always fun to watch, but it's going to absolutely fantastic if we get an all-out battle between Froome and Wiggins.
Froogins.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"
