Yeah brilliant week for EBH! 2nd at LBL "isn't all that bad" is it?

A pity he couldn't win it, but 2nd is brilliant, and it also ends an amazing Ardennes week.

Indeed it was great

Another mystifyingly poor result all round for Vesuvio. Liege deserves better than a 29 rider sprint.

Well. Atleast i enjoyed the report. I have no idea though, how a rider like Ricco starts the sprint in 5th position, and falls back to 22th. Any chance he was attacking just before the sprint, but the pace was to high?
I think his main problem was poor position, actually. I'm almost sure that the Bacardi rider who tried a one-second attack through the final turn was Roux, with Ricco sitting much further back.
Nevertheless, he didn't seem to have the legs. My guess would be that he spent most of his energy in the attack on Roche-aux-Faucons.

I'm starting to think if it's the year that finally someone wrecks Vesuvio's chances of the title. |

Yay, three riders in the Top 100, extending our advantage on Santander
Up next: the most feared rankings update of the season. We might be competitive amongst the ~6 worst teams in the remaining races with some luck.

I share in your feelings here cio93, I'll be honest though SRB's Ardennes squads were bordering on the disrespectful. This was matched by pretty apathetic performances all round.
Small stage race expert Trofimov has an uncanny knack of picking up all sorts of great results. This is yet another - this is looking to me like a really open battle at the top of the table. Schleck and Bakelandts have not fired at all, Koeniggsegg looking dangerous.

Finally? Only won once in the last 3 years, not as if it's been domination
Besides, Id have needed a damn good season to stand a chance seeing as how I am one team leader down on last year, the Tirreno crash hit that badly so this is merely a continuation of that.

Indeed.
I wouldn't mind the results if it wasn't for the way we presented ourselves.
Not being in a single breakaway...well, that can happen.
Not even attacking a fricking single time to at least try to get in the break, no matter how early we'd be shed out the back afterwards...

Rabon's wage is going down for the next season significantly.

It's so sad that this is actually a great showing by 2013 Bakelants' standards.
Great report though, the pics were excellent!

Once again a big group sprint in one of the hardest hilly races in calendar. A bit of a letdown by AI, but great report made up for that. Shame that Hagen did not achieved the criple crown, but 2nd is also awesome for him and Trofimov was a deserved winner. Congrats to Koenigsegg!
Frank is a disappointment of the Ardennes for sure, maybe age is finally catching on him? Andy will have to start saving the family name soon for Vesuvio

Hell yeah, group sprints for the win!
Nah, that was just luck, unbelievable how poor the AI is. It is almost like a lottery, depending hugely on where your leader is positioned for the final sprint. Trofimov's sprint stat is golden worth though.
Glad training him wasn't a waste.

7th place for Cunego is ok with a that big group sprint and bad positioning in the final kms.
But I wonder about the logic behind the Monfort-Claeys tandem working against Cunego and not for him- If the logic was to make it look like Cunego isn't in form - or weak than it was a bad idea.
