SN, we can't see the profile picture. Great win for Davis, by far the strongest. |

In my case i expected that the number of race days moves away some of the big names, but of course we expect strong competition, I still think we can achieve the goals that I had proposed for this race

Rasmussen... Even beaten by our last year's biggest loser Renshaw. A bad omen for Oz's wanna-be-sprinter? So far, he's truly disappointing, and he had some pan-flat stages already.
Well, at least he's by far less expensive than Renshaw was

A good start by Van Loocke but it's still a shame not being able to reach any point at this stage.

Well, it's an okay start for us. Shame that Bozic couldn't do better, as I doubt he'll ever have a better position for the sprint, but he was outclassed alright.

Joining both breakaways at least means we show business here, allthough we were nowhere to find in the front in the closing kilometers. Looks promising for us! |

Dammit. Had the wheel of Davis. Lost it to Gatto, and where does Gatto finish?
Even a few Top 5's could salvage this tour as well as the Asian Rankings, mind you I need a decent GC finish too.

Really does seem like an odd move not to pick Zaini then? Seems like an Asian hilly stage race would be perfect for your best hilly rider

I admit to not being a very good race planner I was hoping for a weakish field too. From last year I was expecting the Asian tour to be a little more competitive with more asian focused teams but I guess most teams saw it as the weakest region last year and so the fields have been improved across the board.

Ultimately the region doesnt really come into it imo. This and La Tropicale Amissa Bongo are the main C1 hills-only stage races, with enough hill stages to justify the race days.
But still, if I thought a race might be weak, Id send my leader to try and capitalise. Not send a weaker rider as well. But hey, Hatanaka ought to challenge for the lower Top 10 with a good race.

Any time Gatto gets some sprint points I'm happy enough. Well done to get the right wheel.
Noticing KOM ratings for this stage gave me a chuckle reading through the results. Not noticed before, but I presume the game has to somehow do it, to stop it exploding.

Stop reminding me how bad I am at race planning
You're right, however, if I can achieve my more important goals, I'll be happy though.

Valv, you don't have any luck. The gap of Davis to the other's. |

Wow, well done Bozic. And good to see Ben Nasser doing well, I hope it's a sign of the things to come.

Ben Nasser doing good in case the hilly stages won't be too selective, could be some important positions in the end. Feel sorry for Meiji though, that's horrible news there.
And nice mentioning of Rasmussen here waste of race-days, but i had to give this first pan-flat stage a try.

We weren't expecting anything over the first 2 stages so a top 10 on stage 2 is a nice surprise and will come in handy for Schurter if it comes down to stage placings again. Hopefully we will be up there in the hilly stages to come.
On a side note am I the only one who things stages 2 and 5 have their ratings the wrong way round?

Theres nothing wrong about the ratings, they are how PCM determines them.
Stage 5 has a steep final kilometre, which is enough for PCM to give it a hill rating despite a mostly flat remainder of stage.
