There should be, possibly. Not much much better, but better. But they don't care, they just want a Chinese guy, so they took a random one. Or maybe he has good friends. Or whatever. It's not like it'll make a big difference anyway.

in Italy Rai have reported some rumors regarding the retire of Radioschack next year: Cancellare would join Lampre with a very important sponsor together with Oscar Gatto in order to make an unbeatable team with Pozzato, Andy Schleck is said to have received an big offer from an unspecified French team, Ciolek would have received an offer from Saxo-Bank. As said they're only rumors... |

Schleck + French team ?
I haven't read about it, but if I do some thinking, Schleck is a dodgy guy, so most likely he'd sign for a dodgy team. AG2R is the first name that comes to my mind. We'll see. |

BMC will want Schleck. Bank on it.
EDIT: And Cancellara too, of course. Swiss team, swiss sponsor, swiss rider.

Who isn't interested in Gallopin?
Lotto would do well to attract him, though!
I hope he doesn't go to lotto,a team where he could lead in cobbled race, or one where he wod be a big part of sprint trains (I am biased though as Tony Gallopin has been my favorite rider since I got into cycling in 2009) |

I do wonder if that would result in TVG leaving though for somewhere that would give him race leadership.

Nobody will pay him what he earns now. Not even close to what he earns with BMC.

Poels wants to stay at Vacansoleil. Local dutch newspaper Dagblad De Limburger interviews him:
https://twitdoc.co...il-dcm.pdf
"I feel good at VCD. At other teams you will always need to wait and see if things work out between you and the team. The fact that I've grown along with the team creates a bond. At VCD I know I do what I want (lead). That's worth a lot to me."
Poels says he'll ride only Fleche Wallonne and Brabanconne as preparation for the Tour. |

How is he going to get ready for the Tour with so little competition in the legs? Or is VCD organising a training session in Tenerife, Team Sky-style? |

What's the news on Scarponi? Staying where he is, praying to every God there is for a new team or just simply done for good?
I was dozing of while watching TV and Mads Kaggestad kept talking about him. Didn't catch what he said, though.

Are we talking about the same Scarponi? The one racing for Lampre who finished 3rd overall in Catalunya last week?

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant that he will only ride those classics in the entire classics season, and he will ride them as part of his preparation for the Tour.
Not that this is his only preparation |

The very same. Like I said, Kaggestad kept talking about his contract hanging by a thread, but I dozed of.

Scarponi will leave Lampre-Merida at the end of the season. That's all we know so far. |

Yep. that's sure. Lampre was really p****d off with him about his "doping" story and frankly I've even doubted he would even race this year. I think he will race the Giro and TDF, win some races now and then this year and in 2014 sign with Androni (if there will be Androni next year) or another CT team. Same for Basso. |

Apparently, Lampre is not Scarponi's problem. It's co-sponsor Merida having its doubts and wanting him out. |

It can be. Maybe they want to get rid of a expensive rider such as Scarponi and concentrate on good young riders such as Ulissi e Malori. I'd get rid even of Cunego, but this is a personal preference. |

Make sense. For so many years Lampre never cared about Saronni's obvious dopers.
Now Scarpa can go back to Androni where Savio can tell us his usual bullshit about giving people a second chance and being confident the rider is clean

Radiocorsa reporting that Sky are also chasing Ulissi, strengthening their Italian core. Would find this unliekly considering Ulissi would next year probably become Lampre's best rider hence a leader in its own right. Gatto is chased by both Lampre and OPQS.
And then the big one, Cannondale seems to want to register the team from Italian to American, meaning Sagan's contract would expire with the team. Seems they say BMC could offer any amount he wants to join the team. How far this is truth? Dunno, but I guess it is somehow possible.
