Sagan has the racing break, he will resume racing with Strade Bianchi and T-A, later MSR. Cobbles-wise, he will probably ride only E3, G-W and RvV, then Brabantse Pilj and Amstel.

Than he will race almost the same program as Cancellara in his preparation to the cobbles.
Winners never quit, quitters never win.
It's difficult not to be happy when you're surrounded by Belgians. - Mark Cavendish

I hope to see a great Vanmarcke and Boom in the Omloop. I also think that Flecha will be good there, because he went to the podium there the last four(?) times. And for KBK I say Theo Bos. He has already won a stage in Algarve, and he finished well in other stages. Hope he can surprise us sunday.
He'll be riding in Langkawi. |

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Roelandts yet? He's one of my favourites for the Omloop.
Also curious if Farrar can make his way back to the sprinting top.
Roelandts isn't that good on cobbles, if Flecha, Terpstra or Boom attack on a cobbled section, he won't be able to counter them. And like some mentioned before, he still has problems with his middle finger.
Only if the favourites get back together in a small bunch (like in Gent-Wevelgem and E3 Harelbeke last year), he can beat them in a sprint. I won't put my money on him. |

We are talking here about OHN and K-B-K, where the latter usually is for riders like Roelandts, but he will be probably leading-out Greipel anyway?

Hushovd is my pick for Omloop. He seems to be in good shape again, judging by the results from Haut-Var.
KBK is harder to predict, but a Cav vs. Greipel battle does seem likely.

How about Farrar for KBK? He seems in fantastic shape. Surely it'll be hard against the likes of Greipel and Cavendish, but who knows?

I don't think he'll win, but I'm sure he will make it into the top 5. |

Farrar can't win anything these days.

Allow me to rephrase: Farrar can't win anything these days against competition who are worthy of note.

Yesterday there was a very interesting talk show about cycling on Belgian television.
Guests were Thomas De Gendt, Marc Coucke (founder of Omega Pharma), Michel Wuyts (Belgian commentator) and Maarten Ducrot (Dutch commentator and former cyclist).
Every guest had to name their favourites for this saturday.
Ducrot said Lars Boom, De Gendt said Vanmarcke and Wuyts and Coucke both said Roelandts.

I got Greipel set for Kuurne, providing he gets his usual sprint train. Which is unsure, since Roelants will be tired from Omloop. Cavendish will take the victory if the Lotto train fails.
For Omloop, Flecha is always good here, but he needs to finish alone. I'm gonna try something weird here and say... Kris Boeckmans
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Going to go with outsides from Garmin
Nuyens for Omloop and Farrar for KBK...Wishful thinking. |

Sporza doesn't start broadcasting until 2 PM CET, are there any streams that already started?
Edit: Nieuwsblad.be has a live ticker in Dutch: https://www.nieuws...index.html
Another live stream that starts only at 14.30: https://sports-liv...l/ch-3.php

Peloton is slowing down, the breakaway has a minute now: William Clarke, Preben Van Hecke, Florian Vachon, Julien Fouchard, Nico Sijmens, Gatis Smukulis, Cyril Lemoine, Jerome Cousin, Zakkari Dempster.
5 kilometers away now from the first cobbles and the first hill section.
---
First cobbled section is underway. The breakaway is formed and has more than 5 minutes.
