You know, I think we've stuck to the old one for too long and that's why people don't want to change it. Quite logical. I guess that if we'd get a new banner and keep it for a few years, we get the same problem

That might be true. Though if someone would make a banner with Jens Voigt, Thomas Voeckler, Thomas De Gendt and Fabian Cancellara, who would object? |

I think there is a fundamental problem in this poll. Given that some people don't want to change the banner giving so many different options just makes it more probable for the old one to win.
Something similar happens to, for example, FroomeDog99 banners. They are too similar and taking out votes from each other.

Noticed it too after I set it up
But it doesn't matter that much anyway. CrueTrue will see this and know: okay, there are many who'd like to change it, there are also many who like the current one. He'll probably change it if a banner comes up that really catches his attention. So keep making those banners, is all I can say |

That's true. But CrueTrue is the one deciding in the end
And like he said, when he sees a banner worthy of overtaking the current one, he'll change it. He thinks there are some great banners here, but to replace the old one, it has to be better than great |

I'm not against replacing the old banner. The submissions are just not what I'm looking for.
To be more specific, I'm missing something that stands out. Most of the submitted banners are basically just some random screenshots with the PCM.daily text slammed on. In my opinion, that's too boring for a frontpage banner.
Look at the current one - you have the three riders that stand out - and it's something you certainly identify with PCM. Then you have some nice effect that leads your eyes between the riders and the two-three screenshots (which are somewhat in the background compared to the riders). I also appreciate the fact that both road and track are represented.
I'm not saying a new banner has to be exactly like described, but it's that kind of style I'm looking for. Not something drastically different. |

Seriously, fenian's three banners were number 1, 2 and 3 for me. They are all brilliant.
I like the old banner though, so I wouldn't mind if it didn't change. However, a fresh look might be nice
