Good luck with this story, I hope it will be as good as 'a tale of 2'

A few remarks:
1. What are their stats? You know I'll keep stalking you untill you've posted them
2. Don't you dare quitting with it before you've reached at least 100 pages!
3. Good luck.

sutty68: Indeed, it'll be a tough ride but they'll have a great time, hopefully so will you
JuanMotr: I agree, I'm gonna try to keep them together as much as possible during their careers!
PCM rulezz: Glad to hear you'll follow! Thanks!
dienblad: 1. Not showing stats is part of the magic. Believe me, they're lower than last time, but higher than an ordinary neopro or 21-year old. Like Jesleyh said, I've put a small hint in there, and I'll continue to put hints in hope that satisfies for you, otherwise I'll be happy to PM you the stats!
2. No, sir. Your story inspires me to get this way beyond 100
3. Thanks a lot!!
ste_18: Thanks, it's good to be back.
Stromeon: Very happy to hear that Thanks!
I'll start them off later today! Obviously this won't go as fast as A Tale of Two (since I didn't have any life then), but I still have a couple of days off, so I'll use those days to get this story a-starting! |

Tour Down Under
Before starting, we'd like you to know about the team in Australia. Greipel took a stage win and the Points Jersey due to consistent sprinting. Grega Bole won the overall victory. Now it's on to Argentina:
Ruta de San Luis - Stage 1
Well, the big moment is here. Since it's our first race of the season, and we're peaking way later, we shouldn't expect too much of this day. Today should be about getting in shape and enjoying the weather.
Today's profile takes us over a hill, only to descend all the way to the finish. It should be a sprint finish, so if the legs allow it, Stijn will throw himself in the front line at the end.
Today was a great warming-up day for me. The sun really feels good on our skins, in comparison to the cold weather in Belgium. I might try an attack in later stages if this weather keeps it up!
The breakaway of the day never got much space and only contained three riders. We caught them well before the sprint!
After the race, I still felt great. I finished safe in the pack, 66th, but tomorrow should go even better. Although I'm still very far from my ideal shape, I hope to perform well here in Argentina.
I started out without any expectations. Although I posses a decent sprint, I wasn't sure if I'd go for it today. All six of us made an agreement to take turns in water duties. I took the first hour of the race for my account.
When the sprint was nearing, I took a decision to go for it. I was feeling alright and it couldn't hurt, right? The peloton here only has 96 riders, so the chances of falling are much reduced. Willy offered to bring me to the front today.
And then the show started. Team Europcar set up a sprint train, but I was at Ginanni's wheel when the sprint kicked off.
Napolitano was by far the strongest today, no one will argue with this result. I had started the sprint a bit early and slowed down a bit near the end, but I still managed to hold off most of the others.
Hadn't expected this! On my first day, I finish 5th already. It's a pretty good result and it gives me hope for the future stages. Hopefully tomorrow will go just as well! Still, I'm happy Tom Boonen isn't here this year!

Ruta de San Luis - Stage 2
Another flat stage before we head into the hills. Today was all about getting someone in the breakaway. Stijn would meddle in the sprint at the end.
There is some minor climbing in the profile but it's still early in the season, nobody's looking to make the race real tough, the pace will be endurable.
Jens Debusschere managed to get in the breakaway. However, at the KoM sprint he couldn't take any points, no mountain jersey for us tomorrow.
Today, for me, was actually all about this:
I felt up to an attack but decided to spare my strength for tomorrow's hillier stage and the day after (a time trial). After bringing Stijn to the front, I finished 38th.
The legs didn't feel that heavy this morning, so that was a good sign! Willy offered to bring me to the front again today, so that was great of him. He dropped me off at the leader, Napolitano.
It was a real battle for his wheel, but in the end I had the edge on Planckaert. Ready for the sprint!
But it wasn't meant to be. I think I rode a great sprint, even better than yesterday. However, the competition's building up form, too. Nizzolo takes the win brilliantly and I have to settle for 7th. It's too bad I've missed out on bonification but at I'm holding my place in the top 10 and every top 10 place is welcome!
Those first two days have been very well already. I'm adjusted to the level already, although in the Omloop, it'll be another step higher. Maybe I can finish in the top 3 in the final two flat stages!

PCM rulezz: Thanks, there are quite some hilly riders present, more than sprinters, I believe.
