I really like your team, it's nice to have some diversity in the peloton.
I would've liked Gasparotto on my team though
Looking forward to battle you in the CT |

I am delighted to tell that Pervyj succeeded in getting all of the wild-cards they wanted, and now the season is planned to the last detail. Our biggest goals for the season is indeed the Ardenne classics, where we will get with our best team. We have also got a Wild-card to the Giro D'Italia, but since the route don't fit our biggest stars, we will not have that as such a big goal as planned earlier.
Our team in the Ardennes will be leaded by Enrico Gasparotto, and the helpers will be in alphabetical order:
Gediminas Bagdonas
Yegor Dementyev
Marko Kump
Andrei Kunitski
Aleksandr Kvachuk
Rinaldo Nocentini
Zdenek Stybar
The giro team will be leaded by the last signing, Taaramae and the 9 riders here will be:
Rein Taaramae
Maurizio Biondo
Vladimir Efimkin
Fabio Felline
Andriy Grivko
Mikhaylo Khalilov
Matteo Montaguti
Yaroslav Popovych
Tomas Vaitkus
Also the first official photos on the jersey in action is published, the yellow version is still not made, but we hope that it will be ready to the season.

Here is also a screen of our riders stats, for those who wants that:
The sponsor goals will be updated in some time, and possibly closer to the season start. |

Do you know if Taaramäe can participate in the youth ranking of the Giro? He turns 25 just before the start of the Giro, but does it mean that he's eligible for the youth classification? He would be a serious rival for Quintana then
btw: Nice Ardennes team, especially for a CT team...

Looking forward to see Gasparotto shine in the Ardennes
@Jesleyh, Taaramae is already 25 at the start of the season and is eligible for the youth ranking, so you are screwed Quintana can't TT

No. Taaramäe is 24(we start in 2012 remember?)
But isn't the youth ranking under 25?
Edit: I'm wrong. But Taaramäe is 24 at the start of the season.

Ah.. then the game updates his age when simulating Giro in stage race
Taaramae was in the youth ranking when I simulated, so I guess it is 25 and under

Looking through the Contiental Teams:
- Jeronim Sejlev, Pervyj Head Coach
This years continental division contains 12 teams, and everyone can win, if the luck and tactical skill in the preperations. Nevertheless I'll try to rank the teams, based on my personal beliefs for the season.
12. Team CSC
Local talents is what triggers this team, but they aren't where they should be yet. Many good riders still, but the cobblers won't get too many points this years, and Gerrans is probably not enough to get the promotion this season. Still, this team can be one of the best in the division already next year.
11. Nintendo-Ambuja
This team is actually one of the best in the division, but the lots of World Tour races, will tire all of the riders very much, in races where Nintendo probably will meet harder competition than most of the continental races and therefore they won't get as much points as they should have. There are too few mountainous stage races in the continental tour as well, so Kreuziger, Menchov will not get the best total amounts. Rojas is the joker, because many races in both divisions contain sprinting stages, with a hard finish, and similar.
10. AXA-Pinerello
I think the 10/11 best is almost equal, so it is very difficult to choose from these, and AXA could with luck win the Continental Tour, even if I ranked them as 10. They have great riders in every race categories, but none of them are top-class. I presume that the best cobblers will take part in the continental cobble classics as well, so it will be hard for Vanmarcke. Horner is a good climber, but in the hard tours there will also be good participants from the World Tour. I presume that Henderson will be the most important for this team, because there are many many flat stages around in the division.
9. Triks Custom Season
The team made a scoop in Luis Leon Sanchez, who are on of the biggest stars in the continental tour, and will get many points, and who also are capable of good results in the World Tour. He will though be quite alone in making good results, because the team in particular is not as good. LLSG will secure many points, so the team will not end in the bottom, but they won't be able to fight for promotion either.
8. Red Bull
Terpstra is one of the best cobble riders in the world, and he has got a good team around him, but the opportunities for them is not great. Though Terpstra can make great results in the biggest as well. In the other terrains are a couple of good riders, but not in the highest level, so the point amounts will not be huge.
7. Dominos
Overall this team is a little behind the rest, but they have been lucky with the races. Rogers is a great tt-ist, which is really important for the division. He can also gather points in the harder stage races. Davis and Van Hummel are also good riders to have in the team; they will get many chances.
6. Pervyj
Even though Gasparotto is the best hilly rider, and Pervyj the best team in the CT, there are too few stages for him and them to win. The team is pretty all-round, and Khalilov will be important in the uphill-sprints, and the stages with some small hills.
5. Cymru Wales
The welsh has definitely hit perfect with the races for the season. A big amount of great sprinters and flat riders will make them as one of the best. Mosby will also cover all the other races, except from the hardest mountain races, which there are too few of.
4. Bulgari-Inditex
With Petacchi as the best sprinter in the division and Cunego as one of the best climbers, the team are sure of many points. The fact that they only takes part in a single WT race will also hold them high on the rankings. But the team is not wide enough to top the list.
3. Magners
World class in every terrain will make this season successful for Magners. A great amount of climbers will take a deal of points, and Anton is good enough to throw in great results also in the Vuelta. The most important however, I will say is Detreute. His hill/tt/recovery ratio can make a fantastic success in many of the stage races.
2. Sony Ericsson
Really the joker in the division. One of the best sprint trains leaded by Bos and Ertzen, will get many possibilities and many chances for wins. But the mst important duo is Larsson/Kessiakoff. The two best time triallists in the CT is in the same team, and with climbing strengthes as well, they can quickly end up as 1 and 2 at the overall CT rankings. But they can also fail, and then Sony Ericsson will fall behind.
1. Tap - Michelin
The best team in the Continental, no doubt about that. Jakab Zoltan can win everything he wants to, as the definitely best rider. Among with Freire, he could win the CT alone. And they aren't alone, because TAP-Michelin has 5-6 other winner candidates in different races. The only question is that the gigantic amount of world tour races, will tire the most important riders, but personally, I think Zoltan and company will also get their amount of points on the highest level.

so the team will not end in the bottom, but they won't be able to fight for promotion either

We have got our first win, in our first race!!! Gediminas Bagdonas made it at the first stage of Volta ao Algarve in Portugal, and will also wear the GC jersey for next stage. He is in Portugal as our sprinter, so we hope that he can make good results also in the other flat stages, as well as keeping up in the GC. If he fails though, we still have great riders behind him, who can make their own way onto victory. Both Enrico and Zdenek have potential in the race, while Kanstantsin unfortunately lost time on the stage.
