Oh no, Danny Pate, God help us all. Oh wait, Danny is the God himself, so we are screwed.
Anyway really nice English speaking academy you have built, good luck!

We've not been keeping the fans particularly up to date since we completed the transfer period, so we thought we should give you all a catch up on life here at ANC-Halfords!
We don't actually have any races on the schedule for January, though Ricki Nelson is soon to be jetting off down under, to compete in a Critérium series riding for a partner side. However, despite no racing, training has really kicked off in earnest, and the riders have been putting each other through there paces in the rolling hills of winter-cycling heaven, Mallorca!
The first few days were spent just on recovery rides around the northern part of the island, it gave the riders a good opportunity to get to know each other a bit better, for the two halves of our squad to finally meet after doing all pre-season work up until now in their home countries, (except for Ricki who came over to join the British contingent soon after he signed with us.)
We had a good opportunity to test various riders in the squad, we were keen to try out several of our flat men, who would be sure to have a full plate once the season started, what with leadouts, breaks and everything else that goes into being a domestique.
After a few days, we started to split up the riders for their various specialities, Nelson and Bahati had a good few days with their various leadoutmen, as we did some sprints practice...
And in the various races we held, Nelson showed just how quick he is! We'll be hoping for a few good victories along the way from our Aussie, and wish him luck for the next week or so as he participates in Australia.
While the sprinters made use of the coastal roads for sprints work, the climbers put there skills to the test in the more mountainous regions of Mallorca! We met many walkers and even a few people who'd come out to watch us cycling, it was a great experience for the lads i'm sure!
One final shot from the camp, where Danielson leads the way up a steep section on the Puig Major, Mallorca's toughest climb, and the final challenge of the 2 week training camp.
Well, actually for now that's about as much as has been going on, we've finalised our race schedule for the coming season, which will kick off in the beginning of February, with the Tour of Brittany. We're sending a strong squad for our opening race, to support Ricki Nelson.

Bay-Classic Series Review
After a slow start to the four-race meet, Ricki Nelson was keen to make amends in his final race for our partner side. The fourth stage was a pan-flat race, suiting Ricki to perfection, and he was able to grab a much needed second place.
After coming from fourth in the last few hundred metres, Ricki showed just how much potential he has, only falling short of a victory by one place, where he was pipped by in-from Chris Sutton.
We're pleased that he was able to find his stronger sprinting shoes, and now as he rejoins the side for pre-season training, we'll be keen to work on our leadout here at ANC, in order to provide for our fast-man, whenever possible!

The team has had a month sitting on the sidelines watching the competition unfolding across the globe, but now as February draws near we are prepared for the teams debut event just across the Channel.
The squad will open its racing career in Brittany at the week long Tour de Bretagnes. Our star sprinter Ricki Nelson will lead the side looking for stage and points jersey success. the full squad is listed below:
Ricki Nelson
Ed Clancy
Danny Pate
Scott Thwaites
Russell Hampton
Richard Tanguy
David Millar
We wish the guys the best of luck, and hope to report back with successful news in a few days time!

First Stage win for British Side - ANC - Halfords
Stage 6 of the Tour de Bretagnes proved to be a happy hunting side for the British team ANC-Halfords today. After the disappointment of watching the KotM jersey slip off his shoulders during Yesterdays stage, Richard Tanguy showed he was a man on a mission during the 144km stage from Douarnenez to Lannion.
After going solo in a breakaway move, he was able to bring himself back into contention for the final King of the Mountains competition, and to boot, he claimed the teams first ever Stage Victory! Finishing 4minutes ahead of the days favourites he was able to move back into the GC top20 where we hope he can hang on during tomorrows tough stage!
Congratulations to Richard and the lads for there hard work over the past few days, and for the brilliant results they're helping to turn in!

After a somewhat lengthy Hiatus from racing, we're back in action in the Gisborne GP. The Race makes its way over 226km of Tough hills and will be hard fought throughout the day.
We are without doubt one of the more minor teams to be competing, but we're hopeful of a day in the breakaway and this will be a good opportunity to show our jersey off once again. After a strong ride in Brittany where we even claimed a stage victory thanks to a brilliant solo ride but Tanguy, we look to come back to racing in similar form.
Good Luck to the guys who make the Journey this weekend as many of our riders get to show themselves for the first time since signing.
