VolksWagen-Mapei also joins the fight against doping, and we refuse all rumours that Keizer has been taking drugs in the offseason. His increased strenght in mountains comes purely from a change in training, altitude (at Tenerife) and a new diet!
Team leader Jose Alarcon has replied to the recent wildcard announcement with a clear statement, "I will win". He is likely to take on the Pro Tour's best in a key part of their season and promises to leave nothing behind.
One keen fan has already ridden up an entire mountain scribbling "go Alarcon" to ensure the Venezuelan's presence is felt amongst the pro tour peleton.
In a press conference earlier today, manager Jack888 said he plans to send an attacking team in an attempt to pick up a stage win or three. The plan certainly has it's critics but in response to the cynical feedback Jack888 said, "how many cycling teams do you manage?". Which was met with silence and saw most of the media moving on with some humility.
However it didn't work so well when directed at a PT director disguised as a journalist, none other than Sporting Nonsense! At that point Jack888 demanded an immediate end to the press conference and demanded any footage of the confrontation be destroyed at once.

So long as Alarcon rides, I dont care who else you pick Will be good to finally see him as a team leader in a PT race! Even though I might have plans of my own for Romandie

Manager Jack888 has hit back at criticism of his team's start to the season, saying that "none of these courses suit us anyway, what do you expect?".
Rumor has it that sponsors are looking for better results but the team management has assured them that the goal races will be won and the team will pick their performances and their ranking up starting at the HC Tour of Trentino.
In other news Magno Nazaret has won hearts in his home town by donating 5% of his salary towards a child welfare charity. Some of it will be used to buy children bicycles to ride to school with.
Alarcon has finished 4th in Kenya to pick up some valuable points for the team. He was a pre-race favorite but throughout the the race every other team conspired against him forcing the great man to go himself. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and he had to settle for fourth.
The next key HC race is corsica international at the end of the month. Alarcon will be looking to bounce back there.
In other news Nico Gauer has proposed to his girlfriend on the weekend and the two will be getting married at the end of the season. We offer the couple our congratulations and best wishes.
That is all.
