So is Russia!
Stay out of there! I already will have enough competition in OlegTinkov, I cant have you guys infiltrating my market (though I might have to dig into yours Avin).
And I just checked the DB again Manx, There are only 2 Bulgarians that have any shot at getting "good" results, and both are under contract... Itll be a tough year for you if you put a strong focus on Bulgaria. Youll probably need to get loads of strong americans as well...
There are already two of us, there are barely enough riders to fill the two teams.

Meh,
I may have ogggled the odd one or two...In fairness you gotta branch out to other countries (fielding a competitve Russian Team is close to impossible thanks to Olegs strictly Russian policy)...But I also could go for a dick move and just create a plain red shirt write CCCP in yellow letters on it and claim the rights to every rider from a former Soviet Nation... Thanks to the superiority of the soviet Union Ill get any rrider I want, so play fair or I will engage Stalinmode...

We will stick to a strong Bulgarian focus for at least this 1st season while we get used to life as a cycling team. We have a shortlist of American and Canadian riders that we will attempt to sign to give the team strength.
Fortunatly the Bulgarians are not great quality so competition shouldnt be too fierce. And i hope the same can be said for the other riders on our transfer short lists.
And miggi, dont go Stalin else i'll go Kim-Jong-Ill and we will have a whole load of trouble on our hands

Its always nice to have teams with a nationality-based element - but yeh, that shouldnt mean that no other team is allowed to buy riders from that nationality. You definately shouldn't be annoyed if they try! (This is a general comment btw, not aimed at anyone)
And Miggi, I think you need to download the new database - since you think the best two Bulgarians are already on a team. Panayotov is the best, yes, but the only other contracted Bulgarian Danail Petrov certainly isnt close to being the 2nd best anymore!

Theres over 2500 riders in the DB better than Danail Petrov, so saying there are Bulgarians better than him is hardly giving much away

I did download the db SN!
But it could well be that I didnt look close enough when making my first short list, since i just looked over bulgaria briefly... (I was more or less looking for some quality Russian riders as the likes of Karpets and so on will surely score a high price on the market)

I hardly doubt that Panayotov will be available... I could be wrong, but even if he were, their would be fierce competition for him!

We have to have an interest in Panayotov. We know it will be next to impossible to get him onto the team this season but there is nothing wrong with trying.

As we get closer to season start more information is leaking from BVP HQ.
Manager TMM has 98% decided on his race calendar for the 2013 season. It is rumored to contain the expected races, but he has let on there are a few surprises, and maybe even a long shot at a .HC race.
TMM has also decided a rough idea on what the team goals will be, with some help from the sponsors of course. While these can't be confirmed until the full goals system is released, it is known there will be a challenge for the team to achieve them.
Now onto riders. Obviously a lot of focus for BVP will be on Bulgarians, this is a very poorly kept secret. TMM has made it clear he wont reveal what Free Agents are on his lost, but he has made it known what currently signed riders he is targeting.
There are only four of them. The first is well known as Petar Panatyov, a very very long shot but as national champion he had to be on the list. Danail Petrov is another, currently with Gazprom. The other two are David Talbott of Amex, and Kiel Reijnen of Heineken.

Goals Announced
The first true stage of the new season!
TMM has had a tough time in deciding the 2013 goals for Boeing-Vivacom. As new team there are currently no riders in the squad, and no experience of races or the world of ManGame cycling. So this entire season is guesswork. With this in mind TMM has decided to go large, or go home.
The strong backing and aims of Boeing and Bulgaria have also forced him into this position. So the 2013 goals reflect this sponsor ambition.
Goals
Win - Dobrich GP C2
Importance:***** Difficulty:**
This is the home race for Boeing-Vivacom. Its the only calendar race in Bulgaria, and there was only ever one choice for our headline goal. The win is the only acceptable result on home turf, the question is whether a Bulgarian could deliver that result.
Win - Bucks County Classic C2
Importance:*** Difficulty:**
The only one-day C2 race in the USA, again this made it a clear choice of goal. Boeing made it clear they want a win on home soil, and this seems the most likely race to achieve that.
Top 3 - CT Team Standings
Importance:* Difficulty:****
This may come as a surprise goal, especially with no riders signed. It is more clear indication that Boeing-Vivacom are aiming high. With lots of race-days, in various regions, this could be achieved with consistency and careful planning.
Top 5 - Tour of the Battenkill C1
Importance:** Difficulty:***
Another race goal in the US was needed to satisfy our american sponsors. The Battenkill is similar terrain to Dobrich and Bucks, so there will be overlap in possible riders, keeping transfers simple. A win would be very tough, so a Top5 was the alternative.
Top 10 - Baltic Chain Tour C1
Importance:**** Difficulty:*****
The biggest stage race near to Bulgaria (sort of). There are a few Bulgarian riders with the quality to get good stage results, which our Bulgarian sponsors will hope translate into a good GC finish. TMM personally views this as the teams hardest goal.
Now true planning for transfers will begin for Boeing-Vivacom. With this selection of goals TMM believes it will be almost impossible to go 100% Bulgarian-PacificNorthWest. But he has made it clear to the sponsors that every effort will be made to make it 80%B-PNW oriented for the 2013 season.

It was picked due to a major shortage of US one-days at C2 level... And Boeing really wanted a Win goal on home soil.
It will be a good fight, probably won by someone who wont even be targeting the race

You've gone for some ambitious goals, though you've streamlined the type of races that you want to be successful in so that helps. Getting a cobbler that can top 5 at the Battenkill against other PCT teams will be a challenge, though I'm of the opinion a top cobbler can absolutely demolish many C2 races so we will see if I am right on that account (you certainly won't see me in a race with anything resembling a cobble!)
