As I said before, that pic on the Twitter page is not mine and has no sponsors on it yet. It will be disctinctive once it gets its sponsors. To be honest I don't really see how it could be confusing. I tried it in-game and it's much easier to see than Liquigas and the green jersey, for example. If it does prove to be hard to see, I could always change the design to polka dots on the front only.
The idea is exactly to have a jersey that is based on the tour's KOM jersey, so inverting would destroy the idea.

Very ambitious. I reckon signing him would kill your budget completely though.

Meh, I don't know... Judging on last year's DB, his loan fee should be about the same as an average leader's salary.

The article says loaning
Although that requires a PT team to sign him, and I actually doubt that it loans him out to a CT team, as PCT might give more experience, and it will be a close call to get him to lvl 3 with his probably limited race days.
He might need Avenir + maximum HC race days.

I may be blind, but..
Gaining in Level 1
Grand Tours/Monuments = 0 xp per race day
ProTour = 0 xp per race day
Continental = 3 xp per race day
Gaining in Level 2
Grand Tours/Monuments = 0 xp per race day
ProTour = 1 xp per race day
Continental = 2 xp per race day
A CT team would give him much more XP, right? Otherwise I can start building my season plans from scratch again

It would actually not be that stupid to sign him as a continental team. You spend all your budget on him and buy some 50.000 riders around him. You will finish last in the CT but that's no problem since you can't relegate any further. The next year, you start building a good team around one of the best climbers in the world, I don't see how that can not be succesfull

I shouldn't post just after coming home from school. I'm clearly too tired...

There will be a change in experience gains with the introduction of .2 races, but neither is it final, nor did I actually do the math whether PCT or CT is better for talents. That might depend on HC race invitations and PT Wildcards, maybe it's in favor of CT teams either way.
I just want to warn you it might not be that easy

I do. You'd be left with not enough cap space to sign enough 50,000€ domestiques to reach the minimum amount of riders. Not a good idea, really.

It most probably will be possible

Depends on the wage cap for CT teams, Cattaneo went for 400.000 last year so we can expect Dombrowski to go around that, maybe a little more. You would need 1.1 wage cap to pay him 400.000, but well the wage cap for CT teams is not made official yet so we'll have to see...

I know, but I wouldn't totally rule out what I said either. I can see Joe reaching a crazy wage.

I expect Dombo to go for a much higher price than Cattaneo. I'll be very surprised if someone gets him for less than 500k.
Sorry for clogging up your thread, Vien.

I honestly think it's a bad idea, here's why:
Season 1: You have a huge young talent + the shittiest team ever = last in the ranks
Season 2: Your talent is big enough for being a massive point scorer, but you'll have to get your team a couple of strong riders to be able to score more points in order to grant promotion.
Season 3: Your wonderkid is a lvl.4 rider by now if you work on his evolution correctly, which means you'll have to loan him to PT to ensure he gets maxed out. Now you're kinda stuck unless you do a great trade for him, cuz you won't do much this season either.
Season 4: Now you get your rider maxed out, but you're in CT or PCT. His average will be too high for you to get benefit from him. Unless you've really upgraded the rest of your roster you wont contend for promotion.
Season 5: My crystal ball can't see this further, sorry
Considering you can get Dombrowski maxed in 4 seasons, off course, which isn't always that simple for some managers (Viviani ftw )
IMO the best thing to do is build a nice, balanced team without huge superstars. You can take a look at some of the more successful managers who had to promote from CT and who haven't even been close to relegation for several yearsnow.

Also if you do that, WE don't have to pay crazy wages, so please focus on building a team around riders such as Jakob Kollerup and other hugely talented guys like him

Never said it was my plan but by doing that, you would probably have won a GT in your 4th season as a manager which is not bad :p

Wow, my team's popular.. ohwait
I guess I don't have enough experience to predict what would happen, but I don't think Dombrowski's salary will skyrocket. Even in 4 years he'd be weaker than a lot of riders in the DB already.
That said, if it's best for a level 1 rider to start off in CT, I am more than willing to let him ride for us.

Barring training, he'll be tied best climber with Madrazo.
