Daniel isn't under contract any more, and all of those targets look acheivable for you except maybe Blythe and Kamyshev. |

Nice list, Yousef Mirza Banihammad is a must for Metinvest new co-sponsor from UAE, it was already reported that he will be signed almost at any cost, Hamdan is also their wish, so we will meet soon.
Apart from that i am surprised we only have two, maybe three same riders on our shortlists (well, my is longlist).

Haha, believe me, I am really prepared to battle you for the emirate riders. It will be really exciting to see how far each of us have to go to secure them (and espescially Yousef).
And there might as well be some signings outside of this shortlist, if we should fail to sign some of these. I have a longer list myself

The Eritrean flag grabbed my attention, but youll be pleased to know that Abraha is not one of our must-have Eritreans at Jaguar-Eritel

And you'll be pleased to hear that Daniel Teklehaimanot is not one of our must have captains. If we manage to get Yousef Mirza Banihammad, that is |

Nah, he will certainly be looking forward to race in the team with his home country sponsor, rather than some Israelis or who.

Guess you don't want Adamou that bad?
You misspelled his name
Seems a nice list of targets...

Adamou is on many shortlists i see.
Better buy Blythe and win all the cobble classics with him, rather than pursuing some Benihammads.

Awang is one of the top targets for the only team in the Man Game with some Malaysian focus so you might want to rethink that one

Hahaha, many angry voices here. I was, and am, completely aware of the situation for Abraha, Awang, Hamdan, Banihammad etc. as they are important targets for teams which have a matching main- or minor sponsor nationality.
Needless to say, I am a huge fan of regional teams, and I don't fancy the possibility to destroy an eritrean, malaysian or emirate core of a team, f.ex.
However, there are limited Iranian riders, and therefore we need to get to the neighboor countries in asia and africa to find the rest of our squad. I also knew there would be discussion around a possible Blythe-signing, but he is a young supertalent, and if we have salary left after the other signings have been completed, we are willing to use a lot of transfer money to buy him, in order to have a good young cobbler in the squad.
There are extremely few asian cobblers, therefore we will go for a european one. May be Blythe (if we can afford him), may be another one |

I predict you a horribly hard time competing against several big-profile teams with deep pockets for Blythe

After an intense and really messy transfer period in Armavias office, they have now officialy ended their activity at the market, and will be doing the pre-season meeting with the team and shortly after it go for training camps to get the team settled.
We are happy with the team at this phase. The plan originally was that we would like to have a strong asian image and focus of the team, but they were heavily contested. Therefore, some days into the transfer season we decided heading for africa, but the most of the riders we had in mind was allready signed by MTN-Qhubeka. As a reaction to this, we've also signed some decent europeans and latinos to get a better depth in the team. A lot could (and should obviously) looked different, but we just have to deal with the situation we've comed in, and no we have to focus to get the best out of each rider.
In a comment to the local media, Bjartne admits he have been doing most of the things wrong in the transfer window e.g sacking some of the newest signings, which is one of the things he have been critisized the most for the last days. "We shouldn't have signed them in the first place." He looks down, sighs and continues "There is really no excuse for what we've done, both in relation to the other managers and teams, but not least, the riders we have treated with indignity. The only positives we might get out of this situation, is everything that we have learned trough it. No we're just looking forward to the seasons first races and to get this starting. The ultimate goal is to avoid relegation, and I'm sure that every single rider will fight hard to hopefully achieve that goal."
These riders will form PFG-Armavia 2013

You've got quite a bit of talent there but with Vanmarcke loaned out and no massive leaders you may be fighting it out in one of the relegation positions. Good luck!

I was thinking the same as Count, however if you had the other Alarcon as leader then relegation would be out of the question.

@Count: I know. Loaning out Vanmarcke was a difficult decision, due to he beeing one of the most important riders in the squad, and would be able to get some points. But in the end of the day, I realized that I probably would be facing relegation anyway, or at least be close to. So then I'm better off getting a maxed out Vanmarcke next season. If I'm missing out by a few points though, I will go shoot myself.
@Mre: Hahahah, don't mess with Pablo Andres! He will be the Alarcon of C2

National jerseys released
Creative shirtmaker ANFreeman finished his work today, and released the jerseys for the new arrivings Israelian Dor Dviri coming from Metinvest-Emirates and Ethiopian Tsgabu Gebremaryam Grmay arriving from Jaguar-Eritel. We welcome them both aboard, and hoping they'll be valuable additions to the squad.
Israelian NC-champion Dor Dviri (in TT) will be an important part of our races with TT-focus
Ethiopian NC-champion Tsgabu Gebremaryam Grmay (in RR and TT) will be placed wherever the mountains are. He will be an important core of our climbing team, and be a strong support in the climbs.
