Vacation in Norway and Japan
While the title is a little bit misleading, Team WWE recently got some decent results in both Norway and Japan. This is the first decent results since San Luis, which is a little bit worrying.
In Norway, Veilleux went in a break on the first stage and got some bonus seconds, which put him in third place after the stage. He also took the KoM jersey. In the end, the bonus seconds was enough to give him a surprising 4th place overall. He ended up winning the KoM jersey, too. On the last stage, Team WWE got two riders in the top 10, with Didier in 5th and Veilleux in 6th place. Astarloza, the team captain got a 6th place overall.
In Japan, the highlight has to be the 2nd and 3rd place on stage two by Voeckler and Ardila. And Gottfried got a 6th place on the stage. In the general classification, Ardila got a decent 5th place, after losing time on the last hilly stage. He would have ended in 6th, but sadly, Bibby for the Jaguar team lost time on the last stage.

'Murica!
USA Pro Cycling Challenge (USACPP) came and went. With it, some decent results by Team WWE! Important to do good in homelands.
While we were anonymous on the opening stage, the team got Tankink in the break on the second day. While it wasn't fruitful, he got some TV time.
The third stage was a bit harder, and fitted our captains better. Txurruka got in a break and managed to hold in, but he was not strong enough and got a decent 4th place.
A late attack by Ardila on the fourth stage led to a huge boost in morale for the team, as he managed to snatch the victory and the overall lead!
The following stage was another uneventful stage, as we didn't field a sprinter. It ended in a sprint, and we got another day in the leaders jersey.
On the second to last stage, Ardila had bad legs, and it resulted in a loss of the leaders jersey, and down to third overall.
Sadly, those bad legs followed him on the time trial to end the race. Ending on a 48th place, almost two minutes behind the winner, it's obvious that he lost way too much time. This weak time trial effort put him down to 6th place overall, and was qute disappointing, given how the race turned out.
The next big race will be Clasica San Sebastien, but the sponsor is just counting days until Tour of America!

WWE pulling out
WWE is pulling out as sponsor for the cycling team at the end of this season. Dirt sheets are speculating if this has anything to do with the newly announced WWE Network that will be released in the US later this month, and expanding to different regions the following year. Vincent K. McMahon have said that the cycling sport hasn't lead to the increased exposure he had hoped for, and will therefore end his engagement with the sport as the contract is ending at the end of this season.
Team WWE leader are upset, because until this point, he was told the sponsor would be there for another season. It is also too late in the season for him to find a new sponsor, so the team has no choice but to disband. Some teams would surely be happy about this, as one of the most talented climbers to ever grace the cycling sport will be up for free transfer, for those who can afford his services. Team WWE has had a very weak season, with a few exceptions, and will end it's season in a relegation spot.

It has been fun, guys. Sadly, my interest in the sport has disappeared almost completely, and I would rather let a new manager step up in my place with new enthusiasm and a brand new team. I am sure that SN and the people behind the game can get the right person to take over. Ideally, I would want the team to continue the next season, with only a new manager, kind of how I first entered the game with the NVidia team, but as the game evolved, this is most likely no longer a possibility.
There are plenty of great managers here (but I am not going to name them here), and I am certain they are going to continue making this game even better in the future. I will probably still drop by, checking from time to time, on how the teams are doing. However, I will no longer be a part of the manager game as a manager. I will now be a part of the audience.
I thank you all for your time, and to current and future managers: Good luck, and most of all: Have fun.

Quite a shame to hear! Really liked this team. It had a real unique sense about it. Thanks though for making the announcement official and not just disappearing

Sad to see this cool team go, but you have your reasons and it sounds reasonable. Good luck in whatever you focus on and see you as the fan of MG.
Also, let the 2nd round of Dombrowski battle begin!

Thank you all for the kind words. I really appreciate it.
aidanvn13: The only really unique thing was the self-imposed wage limit, which obviously don't work. With the addition of a third division this season, I knew that it had to stop, if I were to survive. Decided to post this because there are people in the game who may want to know that it was my own decision, and not because I neglected my team. I decided to step down before it came to that. It's what's best for the man-game, and what's best for my own reputation on the site.
Miguel98: Paying attention is hard enough when you're a manager, in my opinion. I know some are able to do it, even without a team. I will do my best, but I fear I will quickly fall out of it.
jph27: You'll probably see my name in the online-list frequently (too lazy to change where the home-button leads), but seeing me post will probably become a even bigger rarity.
Avin: Thank you. Going to focus on my Twitch.tv channel (F YouTube!) for the time being. I will probably always be a fan of the man-game, but the passion in it may rise or fall frequently. Have to look at squads and pick favorites. Looking forward to see what sort of "gimmick" some teams may end up with. Meiji is one team. Dombrowski is going to be interesting. I hope he gets a salary of 777000 this time. Just to 111 up me.

Yes Dombrowski will be an interesting one.
Sad to see you go mate, sorry if I have been critical in the past. In some ways a glorious failed new venture for ?McMahon and company which is what tends to happen to him when he goes outside rasslin.

Agree with the others. Nice 2 seasons together in the Man Game and sad to see you go now. I hope you will still come around from time to time here.
Dombrowski, Greipel, Vingerling. Some pretty interesting riders. Plus Herklotz of course. |

Smowz: You have nothing to apologize for. I do not think you have done anything particular to apologize for, at least.
SN: Thank you for having me all these years.
CA: It has been fun managing along you (and the others) as well.
roturn: Two years since you joined, I guess you're saying? It has been fun. Going to be interesting to see where my "stars" end up. I expect Greipel in a German team.
fintas: Good? So, to be a good manager, you have to be consistent at the bottom of the division you are in...

When I say good team does not mean only the results .. speak in a general way as to me not a good team is seen only by the results.
