Guy that broke a collarbone finishes in the first group? Really? Come on! That sucks for him.

I read somewhere that Freire won't be sprinting on the flat stages.
I think Hutarovich might suprirse. Not a win of course, but maybe a top 5?
Then, what will Freire do? Sounds odd. There is like 1 stage left which finishes uphill. He will maybe target the breaks, but... come on
Prepare for the Olympics I guess?

And if it's true, that's really sad news for Martin

Major kudos would go to Martin if true. Riding all day on a broken collarbone.

Sucks if true about Martin.

Brian Holm says Martin's at the hospital to get an X-ray of his hand, not collarbone. |

Tomorrows Sprint will be interesting. Goss, Kittel and Greipel are all likely to have the team support, while Cav - who is perhaps not as fast as last year - will be floating between them, looking for the best wheel to follow.
Hope for a crash-free finale and a big head to head sprint!

Indeed, the first sprint ind the TdF is always exciting. Even though Cavendish doesn't have a team which fully suports him and as you mention maybe not as fast as previous year, I am pretty sure he will have Boasson Hagen to leave him in front with 200 meter to go. What a luxury to have a guy like that.
It's all about Cav, Greipel and Kittel to me. I can't see anyone win in a regular sprint.. on the other hand, everything can happen. I expect Argos in the front of the peloton a long with Lars Bak for the last 100 kilometers.

The hills before the final will be too much for Kittel....
Which hills?

Sarcasm.
He meant that Kittel drops on a speedbump.

Kittel on the Queen stage will be greatly painful to watch, if he gets that far. |

If the Tour of California was any indication, then:
Exactly!
Veelers or whoever their strongman was there was the one getting the sprint results.

I fancy Goss to take this one. Cavendish will run him close though. I expect to lose a GC contender or two as well. |

Judging by that intermediate sprint, I don't reckon Cav'll do it. But he's never really predictable. He might want to win just so he can get the chance to get the 'most dickish celebration award' back off Sagan. |

Sprinting for victory is different than sprinting for an intermediate sprint though.

This. Seems a few journo's were confused and tweeting about Martin breaking his collarbone. Subsequently they seem have back tracked and said just the wrist and hopefully not too serious. |

If Martin really has broken something, he´ll be fine for the Olympics at least. He just was too strong to have something serious, maybe a partially fractured bone. That would probably mean the end of this years TdF for him but he could train at home.
I hope Kittel can win tomorrow, he has the speed and the support. All he needs now is a good timing and luck.

I know but he just didn't look that comfy. I don't care if he proves me wrong. But if I say he's not gonna win then I cover my back either way |
