Stage 5
Today is the final stage of the GP Mediteraneen so this is my last chance to win the jersey. I don't think I can though so I will just work for Lofkvist.
Benoit Vougrenaud won the stage ahead of Bert de Waele. De Waele took the overall lead and won by 20 seconds. I came in 32nd in the stage and came in 20th overall 2.45 behind De Waele. I wish I did better but it is my first race and I am still getting up to fitness. Maybe I can do better at the Tour of Oman. Knees won the mountains classification. Boasson Hagen won young riders and came 2nd in points, and the team won the team's classification.

I'd like to see a little bit more screenshots.
Besides that, interesting story! Can't wait to see where Wiggins will finish in TDF, though his stats are a bit low, according to me. |

I have finally gotten my schedule from my manager. This is only up to the end of June and then I have a break thru July.
I will be the leader for most of my races so I hope to get a few good results. My main objective for the first half of the season will be to get a top 5 at the Giro di Italia.
My next race is the Tour of Oman which starts tommorow.. I hope to get a top 20 there because I know my fitness is not very good. Anyway I will be posting the first stage of the Tour of Oman after the first stage.
Bye for now
Bradley Wiggins

Tour of Oman Preview
The Tour of Oman is the next race on my agenda. Since I didn't do very well in the GP Mediteraneen I am going for a top 20 overall instead of a top 10. I am taking a strong team to help me achieve my goals but I think Boasson Hagen will be our best finisher at this Tour.
The team is working for me but I think Boasson Hagen will come of with a victory in either a sprint or in the TT. I have Serge Pauwels and Thomas Lofkvist to work for me in the mountains. Here is the full startlist.

Won't his amount of racedays be to high when you enter the tour?? With all these smaller stage races and the Giro, I think it is already 60.
Sorry to say, but then you'll never win the TdF, because od a decreasing fitness!

I have seen many questions about the tdf and I decided that I would rather get better at climbing before I race the Tdf. I am racing the giro and vuelta this year and the tdf next year.
Thanks

Tour of Oman
Stage 1
The team will be hoping to deliver either Sutton or Boasson Hagen to the line in 1st place.
The start of the race was very fast pace so the peloton was just a long line of riders.
The team was working on the front, not that they were trying to catch a dangerous rider but because the team wanted to win the sprints.
After the first sprint Thomas went with an attack so the team didn't have to work on the front.
With 20km to go Qainziato had 1.41 on the charging peloton.
We had worked out a lead out for Boasson Hagen. I got on Van Avarmaet's wheel.
Boasson Hagen was further back then the team would have liked. He passed me with 1km to go.
Van Avarmaet hit the front with 800m to go and took the first leaders jersey at this years Tour of Oman.
Boasson Hagen only managed 13th but he is wearing the overall young riders classification. I came in a fantastic 21st. If only Boasson Hagen was on the wheel I was on.
