Great performance by VDB, too bad he couldn't beat a strong Pozzovivo but the bonus seconds is nice. Alarcon missing so much time could really open the race up, since I hope he, VDB and the other favourites will put enough pressure on Rujano to at least make this race a bit exiting.

Great to see we managed to protect the leader jersey, and Eltink with a high place on the stage even if he work in the stage for Van Hummel. |

Wow stage 2 just setup an even more interesting stage 3. I wonder what the AI is going to do with my team with Craig Lewis 8th in GC and an average climber, however Colorado is just a minute plus back and ahead of most the the top climbers and is way better than Lewis. Sould be interesting, just hope the AI doesn't screw me  Like it has with everyone else so far.

Nice to see Pozzovivo win that.
Not so nice to not be able to pull out a gap. Really only racing for second place now with VDB.
I've noticed that riders outside the top 5 in GC tend to attack fairly early on MO stages - doesn't help that Rujano is 6th. Only chance to beat him is hang on to Alarcon up the climb whilst Rujano waits in the group. Don't think it will happen.  |

It could very well happen. I tried the stage, just to see how the AI handled it, and the first kilometers of the mountain are on narrow roads, meaning it will most likely be a bit of a lottery again.
Looking forward to the report, Smowz, I'm only hoping Alarcon gets in a position to fight for the stage win. |

Nice report.
A somewhat disappointing stage, though, Alarcon proved strongest of the rest, and when Pozzovivo went early, it was always going to be hard to catch him.
But an amazing ride from Pozzovivo, hopefully this was Alarcon's only "bad" race this season, then I'll quickly forget about this, eventhough it was a win goal. |

report is great, result is much worse I was hoping for...I really don´t understand why Rujano was sitting somewhere way behind while my team was chasing down escapees

This race is turning out better than I was hoping for.
Stage win and another chance on the last stage for a good result,
and Eltink going for a good GC spot.
I thought Eltink was dumb and worked for Van Hummel on this stage but he had energy to get a good result himself.
Just hoping Chicchi and Van Hummel will do something good on the last stage! |

Can't be happy about that lacklustre performance by our Belgian captain though fourth overall is decent.
Fantastic win by Pozzo, he did what he had to though I understand Beagles disappointment - That race win should had been secured after the rather fortunate stage 1.

Can't believe Pozzovivo did that...I was scared to read on and kept expecting him to be pulled back.
There's just no way you can explain Rujano there though....
Super win for us though - if we can hold it now for the final stage it will be a very pleasing race. |

Well, that's a tad disappointing. Had expected a little bit more from Niemiec, even after that early attack.
Congrats to fenian though. Super performance from Pozzo.

This tour isn't turning out bad at all for a change. Colorado 6th overall, and Maksimov has a complete sprint train and a chance to win his first stage.

Perfect way to end the race and Barzajev really has been decent so far for us.
Fenian must be very satisfied about the outcome of the race - Vespa are really strong atm. and I expect they will carry over their current form in Wales.
Good reports Smowz and I will defiantly support your team in the upcoming Tour de France - let's see what Gadret can come up with!

Nice try from Rizza there. Almost payed off.
Overall-wise, pretty disappointing. But that was expected without a top class leader.

well, I´d be happy with 2nd overall before start of race - then I´m happy no matter how race went
+ 2nd with Guillen in last stage is good too
congratz to Vespa, Pozzo was simply strongest rider here
