Hey guys thanks for all the support already. I have finished the team presentation for you to have a look at but apart from that there should be some races tonight!

A great challenge without Alberto. Come on Nuyens!!! We like to see doing very well in Cobbled and Ardennes Classics!!
Good Luck.
@Canojuancho thank you i will try my best to see what i can do with Nuyens thanks for following!

Seems very interesting, a nice challenge. Good luck Btw surviving without Alberto means he'll be completely out of the team? (or maybe in the team injured until August and later you could take out all the points he scored).
@lluuiiggii Cheers and Alberto will not ride any races this season and will be released at the end of of the year!
alexanderlens wrote:
Interesting, good luck! One question, are you still in the World tour?
@alexanderlens Yes Alex we are still in the WT and trying to stay up without Alberto
Avin Wargunnson wrote:
Good luck with Nuyens, Chris Anker and the others, you should be able to get good results even without Alberto
@Avin Thanks Avin and i hope we can still make some results.
CountArach wrote:
This could be one of the most interesting reports out there. You will have a handful of quite good riders but no one who is really able to challenge for GC at most events, or even win classics. Maybe Chris Anker could aim for Paris-Nice or another week long stage race if he hits it with good form, but generally this is going to be tough. I will be following with interest.
@CountArach At the moment Chris only has P-N in as a warm up race but he could probably make a good go of it on the way to the TDF
andy222c wrote:
Great idea! I hope you'll ride very agressively and win a lot of surprising stagewins. And then of course stay in the ProTour
If it was only that easy andy!
johannes-w wrote:
nice idea i cant wait to see the final result from october you really need some strong coobled classics and i think navarro could score in a race like catalunya with a decent fitness - good luck! you will probably need it
@johannes-w Navarro has a couple small races on the calender so there's every chance we could see him pick up a GC win but he's going to have to be on good form.

Good Luck with this jt
@Sutty Thanks Sutty

I like the looks of this story, seems a promising one. It's a challenge, and I hope you'll have plenty of motivation throughout the story, without any riders to achieve what Contador did.
@FreitasPCM Thank You freitas i hope i can make Sorensen get a couple decent results which may keep me up!
Alakagom wrote:
Glad to have you here jt1109, from Div II to story section. Great choice of the team and a greta challenge too. Good luck
@Alakagom Well there ain't much DivII at the moment so hopefully i can get a good story going to keep me from missingwatching the Alstorm
MrDemus wrote:
I have thought about doing this as well. Not as a story, but just as a save. Interesting project
@MrDemus I actually started it out as a save but i was so intrested in it that i was saving replays so this started
Rauling wrote:
As other said I also think this could be an interesting story
@Rauling Thank You
CasperVg wrote:
It certainly won't be easy to remain in the World Tour without Contador, but that makes the story even more interesting to follow. Nice team choice and I'm looking forward to see some racing
@CasperVg Thank You Casper btw loving you Orbea story at the moment! |

This will be very difficult, because you have no top class sprinter or climber. Good luck!

*** Valverde
**Marcato, Chavanel, Ballan
* Pettachi, Davis, Ciolek
The start of the World Tour season and most of the climbers have choosen to stay at home and with potienal for high winds that may have been a safe choice. The expection of course being Valverde who must start as favourite here and probably will have a high chance of winning with the stage on Willunga Hill 2nd favourites include the perninial 2nd Marcato and classics specialists Chavanel and Ballan followed by some hilly sprinters Pettachi, 3 time winner Alan Davis and Gerald Ciolek.
With the added incentive of Cavendish, Renshaw and Henderson for the sprints this could turn out to be a intresting look into how the season may unfold coming into the later months.

Tour Down Under - Stage 1
Prospect - Clare
With the start of the season underway Meniez (United Healthcare), Coli (TT1), Klostergaard (Saxo), Murvyez (Astana). Kasper managed to get in the break today with 2 good sprinters in the group in Menzies and Coli and Kasper managed to finish 3rd in one of the sprints and gain a "1" second bonus which could be helpful in the later stages but onto the sprint
And with Cavendish staying on the wheel Appollonio for 2 long and not managing to come round Pettachi in time Ale Jet took the first World Tour win of the season for Troels managed a good 15th place in the sprint a good result for a sprinter of his talent.

Tour Down Under - Stage 2
Lobethal - Stirling
100km to go: Stage 2 of the tour down under and 4 men in the breakaway Paolo Longo Borghini LIQ, Sébastien Chavanel EUR, Marcel Sieberg LTB, Alexander Serebryakov TT1 and these 4 men were to compete in the first mountain sprint of the tour taken by Longo Borghini of Liquigas giving them a first jersey of this years Tour Down Under these men were together untill 20km to go.
15km to go: When Sébastien Chavanel decided to go it alone with over 1 minuate on the chasing pack and under 15km to go Chavanel was doing a great job at keeping the favourites away mainly due to the up and down nature of the roads that were playing havoc on the peletons chase with only 78 riders finishing in the peleton biggest losers included Cavendish and Matthews.
10km to go: Nick Nuyens launches a massive attack on the 2nd to last hill enabling him to pull out a lead of around "38" seconds Nuyens was definatly on form today and he soon caught up with Chavanel.
5km to go: And passed Chavanel Nuyens is still going well but the pelton is breathing down on him Nuyens is going to need to pull something out of the bag in behind Doumoulin and Pettachi are near the front
1km to go: Nuyens is still out in front in behind Doumoulin is closing fast on the wheel of Perez with Kroon doing a good sprint for Saxo.
400m to go: Nuyens is caught unlucky for the saxo rider he is hanging in there though but only just Dumoulin is just coming past Perez. Bole , Pettachi and Ciolek aren't going forward and Kroon starts to go round them.
Finish: And it's Dumoulin who takes the win a strong ride from hilly rider Perez for 2nd and Nuyens just hanging on ahead of team-mate Kroon for 3rd.

Nice second stage there. If you can have a repeat performance you might be able to nab some easy WT points early in the season before a lot of the better riders start to really hit form.

Tour Down Under - Stage 4
Norwood - Tanunda
Matteo Tosatto, Damien Gaudin, Fabio Sabatini, Mark Renshaw, Bart De Clercq made up the early break today. We put Matteo in the break in the hope he could collect the climbers jersey today for us and he went over the top first on the first categorized mountain of the day.
And matteo held of the chasing pack including Westra over the secvond hill of the day gaining the maximum 32 points and getting himself a jersey for tonight. While in the background there has been spilts in the pack.
The peleton is all over the place and has had to regroup leaving Westra and Matteo out in over "1"30" in front with only 20km to go they are not working together though Matteo is tired and letting Westra do all the work can the dutchman drop him?
5km to go and he is struggling to get rid of Matteo he is slowing down now though and there lead is "1 min" but the peleton is closing fast it looks as though westra is going to lead out.
The peleton lead by Gregor Bole is coming though and with 78 riders there some and going to dissapointed by the end of the day but can Pettachi get his men to close down the leading 2 before the sprint?
The answer is NO and Westra is leading out and the epelton has left it too late they are not going to catch the lead too now and with Matteo in the prime spot he is looking ready to punce on the tiring dutchman.
Tossato is coming past! the italian is going to get Saxo's first win of the season as he comes up to the line.
Matteo Tossato wins!
And as the time click down for the men in behind it seems as though "28" seconds have been taking out of the favourites as Hutarovich takes the final bonus seconds on the stage. And to cap a good day for Saxo Vinther finshes 6th on the stage.
Tossato has "28 seconds heading up Willunga Hill tommorow will the climbers be able to drop the italian and fight out the finish between themsevles?

Tour Down Under - Stage 5
Mclaren Vale - Old Willunga Hill
The break of the day was caught before the first time up Willunga Hill and as we came up first time OPQS and Movistar took up the pace and tried to break up the peleton
But matteo was still there and still looking comftable enough to stay in the top 20 of the group on the clim but Valverde is on the front now and he is ripping the peleton to pieces
And he has ripped the peleton to pieces Tossato sat off and decided not to follow the lead group instead saxo have put Nuyens and Kroon up in that group and both are going well.
Good decsion by Saxo and Tossato is back with the top 70 riders in the first peleton this is going to be a big sprint up willunga.
The sprint is on and Nuyens and Kroon are giving Tossato the perfect lead-out and all he needs to do is to come in on the same time as the leader to win the TDU.
But he is starting to struggle he has nothing left Nuyens and Kroon have taken a lead but Valverde and Ballen are closing fast
Valverde is coming through kroon and nuyens need to stay with him for Tosatto who has given up he's sat up! it's all on his teammates now.
Kroon is doing and excellent job he's keeping on valverde's wheel he just needs to keep it up till the line.
And he does Valverde wins but Kroon has keepen on his wheel so Tosatto baring incident is the 2012 winner of the Santos Tour Down Under it would be his biggest win since 2006 and his only win since 2006.
