Stage 11 : Pamplona - Eibar 150 km
km 80 : Alto de Descarga - 3°
km 98 : Alto de Kampazar - 3°
km 112 : Alto de Karabieta - 2°
km 124 : Alto de Ixua - 2°
km 138: Alto de San Miguel - 3°
Short and explosive, this stage in the Basque Country is a real cliché. A massive crowd is waiting to support the little orange men on the Alto de Ixua, main difficulty of day and a classical climb of the Tour of Basque-Country. |

Okay, I'm just wondering, how will there be enough time differential with no summit finishes?

He's only on Stage 11. Generally summit finishes come more towards the end of a GT

Do you mean in the game or in reality ? In the game, you can attack whenever you want. In reality, summit finishes are mirages. With a downhill behind them, climbers have to attack earlier which provokes more show, more suspense and often more differences. I don't dislike mountain finishes, I dislike the "only one climb which is the top finish" as we saw in Giro 2011 and each Vuelta.
As you will see, my plan to increase attacks needs to put summit finishes at the beginning of a mountain period. In reality, the wait-and-see tactic doesn't care of downhill finishes if there is a summit finish the day after (Lourdes-Beille 2011, Jausiers-Alpe d'Huez 2008). If the order is exchanged, nothing prevents the attacks on the downhill stage and because the pontential of this kind of stages is higher, the race is really spectacular (Grand-Bornand 2009, Maurienne 2010).

Hi,
After a little lack of motivation, I'm back with two stages
The first one for my Vuelta
Stage 12 : Bilbao - Santillana del Mar 163 km
km 48 : Alto de La Escrita - 3°
A flat stage for sprinters. The sprint in Santillana del Mar is on a false flat.
The second one for the 2012 Tour de France
Tour de France 2012 - Stage 08 : Belfort - Porrentruy 154 km

New stage
Stage 13 : San Vicente de la Barquera - Avilès 160 km
A flat stage along the Atlantic coast. It's the penultimate opportunity for sprinters. Tomorrow, high mountain is back.

The queen-stage of the Vuelta
Stage 14 : Gijon - Alto de la Farrapona 174 km
km 39 : Alto de San Emiliano - 3°
km 68 : Alto del Cordal - 2°
km 85 : Alto de La Cobertoria - HC
km 109: Alto Trobaniello - HC
km 142: Puerto de San Lorenzo - 1°
km 174: Alto de La Farrapona - HC
With 5500 meters of positive height difference, the queen stage deserves its title. The main difficulty of the day is the Alto Trobaniello also know as the "Spanish Finestre" because of its gravel road.

Did you watch the World Champs today ? Did you find them boring because of the flat circuit ? Do you want to take revenge on Cavendish ? In his home country ? Or do you already wait for his olympic title in London ?
If you have answered yes to one of the previous question, you need to play the following circuit.
World Championships : Bristol - 252km
This looks very good, i'm well impressed
Do you intend on doing any more British races
The circuit takes place around Bristol and its famous monument, the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Two hills are used : Rownham Hill (866m at 7.7%) and Durdham Hill (1.8km at 4%). The timetrial also uses them and explores the shore of the Bristol Channel. |

It remains 2 mountain stages, 1 mountain TT, 1 flat TT, 1 hilly stage, 1 flat stage (not in this order).
@ sutty : I'm not focused on british races but on World Championships. I took a look on possibility of a fantaisy classic in UK but I havn't been convinced by my trials |

It seems that there is a lack of mountain
Stage 15 : Tineo - Albergue de Ancares 193 km
km 45 : Puerto del Palo - 2°
km 90 : Alto de Acebo - 2°
km 125: Alto de Louxas - 2°
km 148: Alto de Santa Morela - 1°
km 167: Puerto de Ancares - Cruz de la Cespedosa - HC
km 193: Albergue de Ancares - 2°
New mountain stage with six difficulties. The first ones will help the breakaway but the last third of the stage has been designed for the battle between leaders. The field is the Puerto de Ancares - used in 2010 - until the Cruz de la Cespedosa by its toughest side : 9.2km at 9.6% hiding 8km at 11% and 16% max. After the summit, 20 kilometers of fast downhill and small hills. Then, the final climb to Albergue de Ancares which is very steep : 1.5km at 11%.
After that stage, riders will take a rest in Ponferrada. I think they deserve it |

Stage 16 : Ponferrada - Alto de El Morredero ITT 29.6 km
km 30 : Alto de El Morredero - 1°
After the rest day, a mountain timetrial is programmed on the Alto de El Morredero. A difficult climb, in stairs, with many sections above 10%.

Two tough stages.. well done! Stage 15 should be interesting to play: a lot of mountains and some short, but steep climbs in the end.. I like it

Thanks. The stage 15 is exactly the kind of field I'm looking for. Up and down the whole stage so breakaway can go and the bunch is reduced. Then, a really steep pass where pure climbres can attack (Rodriguez) and other leaders have to resist. Then a transition where you have a pursuit between these groups and finally a steep finish to make the last gaps. It's a kind of Mortirolo-Aprica but with a better finish |

The Tour de France 2012 is a community project run on Cyanide Forum. It's 11/20 completed for now
Besides, I've planned a little surprise during my Vuelta. Actually, I stop the race in Ponferrada and I'm also working on World champs. Do you follow ? Ponferrada 2014 of course ! So, the idea was to make the two stages based on the rumors : a 20 km circuit and a finish in San Cristobal for the ITT. This last one is easy for me because I've already done the TT on the Morredero ! So, I was working on the stage this afternoon when ... the "official" (it's a leak) profile was released ! So, I correct my first stage. Concerning, the road race I've also read some news but I think it's bullshit compare to my initial guess. So, stop talking, let's presenting
World Championships : Ponferrada 2014 - 254km
It's not the official route but my guess according to previous rumors. 13 laps with two hills : Alto de Barcena (2.7km at 5.9%) and l'Alto de la Llaneda (1.2km at 5.4%). A route really hilly but the summit of the last hill is 12,5km before the finish line. Attacking early will be compulsory for winning.
The route revealed this afternoon. 30km flat around Ponferrada and the first third of the Morredero until San Cristobal de Valdueza (~8km at 6%, 13% max)
