Then again, why should they merge? Afterall they had some really good results. On top of that, I dont really believe what l'equipe writes until I see it. Because Radioshack was only secure till the end of the season (meaning the financial backing was only secure for 2 years). Without Armstrong the team lost the main factor of shack even entering.
Leopard on the other hand came in with financial backing from becca till at least 2015.
In my opinion its rather Bruneel who would be the driving in a merger. But, and it has been mentioned, again: Why would they sell Rast and Hermans to Leopard if there would be a merger anyways.
At last, Cyclingnews mentions only ten riders who were told to leave, with voigt making it 11 but his contract runs out at the end of this season. But who would not like to have voigt in their team? Afterall he is a workhorse...
Id say: Something is rotten in the state of denmark (and by state of denmark i mean the world of cycling)

That means Paulinho should be going to Saxo, because of Contador. And Wegmann would be a nice addition for GreenEDGE. |

Mark Cavendish has received special dispensation from the UCI to ride the Tour of Britain. Having withdrawn from the Vuelta, he normally wouldnt be able to ride until after the Vuelta finished - with ToB starting this sunday, the day the Vuelta ends. Its great news for the race, he hasnt ridden it since 2007.
And in other British news, Charly Wegelius will retire at the end of the season

That rule's a bit stupid anyway. I can understand that a rider shouldn't start another race the same day or very next day, but when he's quitted it for a week or so, it would be ludicrous to not him ride wherever he wants to, IMO. |

Alright,
This is really confusing...
In this article (luxembourgish) states in its headline that Leopard-Trek remains its own team in the same way it was this season for the next 2 years... However further down it says that They found new sponsors with Radioshack and Nissan. The last Paragraph says that Bruyneel might join the team as new manager but Andersen remains in the function of a DS.
So it sounds like a merger after all, although the headline says something different... What kind of confusing game are they playing???

It's confirmed, the fusion. It will be RadioShack - Nissan - Trek and they will have luxembourg nationality.

Its official: RadioShack and Nissan joins Leopard Trek. Confirmed riders so far: Schleck brothers, Cancellara, Brajkovic, Horner, Klöden, Wagner and Busche.
EDIT: And Oliveira also confirmed as a rider for "RadioShack-Nissan- Trek Professional Cycling Team" (ugly name)

Wagner as well. Ah what the hell, put Hermans and Rast down as well... They have valid contracts and i dont see them dropping out of those now...
But to be honest, I havent seen a clear confirmation as of yet!
EDIT: Of course it had to happen. 2 minutes after I see the article and post they change it... Merci RTL...

Cyanide taking part too?
Seriously now, that'll be a quite strong team, although with the hog taking over I can't see the 'just the Tour matters attitude' of Andrew changing anytime soon.
Definitely an awful name.

this is terrible team..what is this? Bad taste parade..what they expect?
That won't last long..unnatural game. This is like 11 year old CYM player cheated team list after transfer season. |

More like BMC vs RSNTPCT vs OPQS
I dislike this trend to have a long team name! |

Next year we should see a fusion between Radioshack-Nissan-Trek and Omega Pharma Quick Step. RSNTOPQS!
Fusion all the teams!
